Hey everyone, I have been using CloneDVD Mobile to rip movies down onto my iPod (5.5 gen) and then playing them on my AVIC D3. Has anyone done any testing for the best bit rate and size to rip the movies down to?

I have done some testing with i ROBOT and have ripped it down to

320x240 @ 517 bit rate ( .53 GB )

512x288 @ 1124 bit rate ( .9 GB )

512x288 @ 1680 bit rate ( 1.32 GB )

640x480 @ 1530 bit rate ( 1.34 GB )

Now I do find that the 640x480 looks a LITTLE better in a few places but it's not worth more then double the file size when I only have a 30GB iPod?

Has anyone else done their own testing and results? What do you rip your movie with, and what size do you rip them too?

I use handbrake and 320 X 240. Not perfect quality but good enough. Its not like I am staring at it looking for flaws while I am driving anyway

Hey now. You're driving and watching movies at the same time!
