I know this sounds like a stupid question but is there a way to turn the unit off while you are driving?

Hmm, I'll have to look at that. If you hold down the A/V button you will kill the audio, and holding down the V button will turn off the screen, but that seems like a lot of work.

Well sure, compared to pushing one button, it's double the amount of work!

A voice command would be nice, but I wouldn't hold my breath, the voice system of the Z1 seems like a last minute implementation to me.

I agree. The VR on my Acura is a LOT better. No comparison. But this has a lot of features that doesn't. All in all...I prefer the Z1.

I prefer the Z1 as well, but it's tough when Pioneer could have just spent a couple more months refining things and had a fantastic setup.

I dont see any reason you'd need to turn BOTH audio and video off..?

1. Receive a call, turn off audio. Or BT solution does it automatically
2. Screen distracting, turn off video. Even though it dims and inverts the map colors at night.

It's great in theory, but why bother..?
