Okay folks just checked the Pioneer store online and they have the Bluetooth adapter in stock and ready to buy. Here is a link. Just click the "Buy Now" button and you are on your way. They do charge shipping and tax (at least for a CA purchase). My total came out to be around $133...much better than fleebay. Enjoy! 8)

I just followed your link, but I couldn't seem to locate the "buy now" button. Where is it? Thanks in advance.

Update: Looks like it is sold out at the Pioneer store...again. For those who got in on this deal can you post yay or nay. Maybe we will have a sense of how many units Pioneer has. If Pioneer can't keep it stocked imagine the issues resellers have. Again, please respond to this post if you were able to buy one from the Pioneer site. Thanks.

I just checked my email and my order shipped. I ordered it late late last night (see original post). That item sold out fast. Hope others were lucky too.

I ordered mine from Pioneer last night (7/18/06) and today it is showing 'Shipped' (and I canceled my backorder from Crutchfield today).

Final cost including taxes & shipping = $136.10.

Just checked today at 4:20pm Eastern and the button to order this item is now missing.

It's good to hear someone else benefitted. Anyone else? I guess it's a good idea to check the Pioneer Store periodically. I also purchased the IR remote in the past and it is no longer available.

I ordered mine late last night, I got an e-mail confirming my order. My order status states "awaiting shipment". Hopefully they did not oversell.

Mine still states "shipped" but the area where a tracking number should be is blank...makes me wonder...hopefully Pioneer fulfills their orders.

I received a tracking number today for UPS. It says it was shipped on the 19th.

Just a moment ago I also received an email from Pioneer indicating my order has been shipped. The email included a copy of the invoice.

I think if you are able to order from Pioneer, they have a product in hand. I assume I will get mine early next week at the latest.

I got a tracking number as well...can't wait to install it.

I must be doing something wrong! I can't seem to find the "Buy now" button. Can somebody help me? Please

It seems that Pioneer's inventory is as flush as the retailers. Once it becomes available, it immediately goes out of stock. I would suggest checking Pioneer's site periodically. One good thing about Pioneer's site is when it becomes available for purchase it is truely available...not this "on order" crap. If Pioneer does not have it, they won't let you buy it.

Some ND-BT1s are available at Circuit City stores. No shipping but you can order online for in-store pick-up. I got one this way last night. There are three stores in the Maryland/D.C. area that showed stock as of 11:45 last night. Just look for the green add to cart button. If you can add it to your cart, then that store has them in stock. They will hold it for you up to 14 days. So, you don't have to race right over to the store to get it before they close.

Not completely true. I did just what you described, when I got to the store the item was no where to be found. The car stereo "speicalist" in that department even told me that they don't carry that item...go figure. I've realized many of these "big box" stores do not have a good handle on their individual store's inventory. What's worse is the workers there do not even know what they are selling...the guy at CC thought it was for XM...clueless. The other downside is CC is selling unit for $149.99 instead of the MSRP of $120.

Bongus,

Sorry it did not work for you. It worked for me, and now I have a ND-BT1. I showed the manager at the store, a printout sheet from the Pioneer website for the same item at a cost of $120. The manager gave it to me at that price, even though he said he did not have to since it showed out of stock. I then handed him a $15 off of $100 coupon. So, I got it for $110.25 including tax. Keep checking man. They are out there. $110.25 is cheaper than from Pioneer direct, and I didn't have to pay for shipping. It is certainly cheaper than eBay.

Well, I took the plunge and got it from Pioneer. According to the UPS tracking number it should arrive on Monday...good thing I have the day off; that thing will be in before Tuesday. BTW in my local area, they are all out of the stock...it's really a crap shoot at this point.

Glad you got one, or will be getting one on Monday/Tuesday of next week. What state are you in? If you are in Maryland, Virginia or D.C., I was going to look again when I went out to the store later today, to see if they had any in stock. It wasn't the closest Circuit City store to me, I had to drive about 21 miles

Okay folks, I got the BT adapter from Pioneer last Friday (only took a week to deliver). I installed it on Monday and I've been messing with it ever since. For all of those that have had this installed I now understand why it is in such demand. This thing works great. I still need to learn how to say phone numbers so that the Z1 can understand...it seems to jumble up the numbers using VC. For those still waiting on this adapter, keep checking the Pioneer Store. I stumbled on the the item while browsing. Does anyone have any pointers using the VC for dialing phone numbers?

Here's how you SHOULD say them:

Wun
Too
Tree
Fow-er
Fife
Six
Sev-en
Ate
Nin-er
Zee-ro

But I doubt they went with this decades old standard since no one actually says, "niner."

Just received mine from Pioneer today.

Cool...very easy to install. The most time consuming part was taking the HU out of the dash. The unit just plugs into the HU connector that says "tel". Enjoy the adapter...I'm glad you were able to get it from Pioneer...I wonder who else benefitted?
