Greetings everyone:

i'm on the verge of buying a couple of D3's for the family vehicles, but one vehicle in particular is going to get head rest monitors for the rear passengers. after reading thru the forums, i've gotten some mixed messages. my question is: can a movie from an ipod video (gen 5.5 of course!) be sent to a pair of headrest monitors??

someone mentioned that only video from the dvd source can be sent back, and not video from the ipod connection. im not looking for dual-zone operation. but if the video from an ipod cant be sent back, then i have to pony up for a z2. any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you!!

True. Only the video from the disk drive is sent to the rear monitors.

I have the D3 in my truck and installed headrest screens. Video from the ipod does work. The way I did mine is I got a 4 way video splitter to feed signal to the rear monitors

I'm guessing you split the ipod's output BEFORE IT WENT INTO THE D3 and sent it to the two screens and the D3. Because the D3's aux output only displays video from the DVD drive, period.

so i went out and froze my rear off. I have a D3 in a F250 hooked up to a rear overhead monitor and my Ipod sends video to the rear... so does the front input on the unit and the aux input..... i have checked them all... the only thing the d3 will not send to the rear monitor is the map... which irritates me my N2 did but some jacka@@ stole it....... my ipod is hooked up with the ipod direct cable...small whitsh grey plug on rear of unit dedicated to ipod... it is not hooked up thru the IPbus adapter also available.
