Hey everyone!

I just did an AVIC-D3 install on a 07 Tacoma.

When the vehicle is on and running should the screen be completely turned off (black) when pressing "OFF"?

If not, what should the default screen look like? My screen currently shows horizontal black and grey lines. Is this normal, or would I be able to change the background?

Thats normal.

black/grey lines is the default background. You can change it in the settings menu. There are some more you can use on the nav disk, or you can put your own in there using a CD-R. The directions are in the manual on page 66.
