I just upgraded the firmware on my Z2 with what was available here.

Do I need to rerun that?

I had a new avic Z2 installed yesterday.

How do I know if I need to do this update.

The box has July 2007 on it.

I had a dealer install mine, and the DVD works all the time.

Do I need to be concerned if I do this update on my own that I may screw something up.

Just go to settings, hardware, service info screen and then HOLD the very top left of the panel.

This will give you revision history.

I just updated mine and its 2.000500
