I have a z2 and it has always been doing this. I have the antenna wire plugged in the back of the unit. Alot of the stations dont come in and most are static and poor reception. It never did this when my car was stock. How do I fix this?

year, make, and model of the vehicle would help.

You need to have the remote wire for the power antenna connected in order to get it to work properly. It has an amp for the antenna..without power to it, you won't get the FM stations properly.

i would think on the power harness, the blue wire is power antenna. I would think it is connected, why would the shop forget?
