I´m new here. i need some help! I wonder if i buy a avic d3 in usa will the navi work here in sweden?

The Nav Discs that come with the US D3 only cover North America.

yes that i know. i saw that in a advert that it comes with eastern and western map. it does´nt say if it works in other countries with another nav dvd´s

You should have bought a European D3. There's a few topics here discussing whether or not a nav disk from one of the euro D3's will work in a US D3, but IIRC, the common concensus was that it will not.

You can either purchase it or acquire it other ways online. I believe what you are looking for is the CNDV-70D not sure though.

CNDV-70D disc should work on US AVIC D3, the only problem is that no one put it on torrents yet. It seems that finding somebody who can do that turned into being a major problem for some reason.

The European DVDs you can find in Emule, in fact I did download them from there, I wanted to get a D3 from USA to work in Spain.

The thing is that I dont know anyone that could make it work, I asked in some other post if anyone knows how to acces the service menu of the D3, becouse the only way we think that the navigation system will work its doing something in there, I will post more details if we get it working.

But if you want to search in the emule for the DVD then look for the keystring "CNDV".

So, please if anyone knows how to access to the service menu, please say how..
