Ive been reading this board for a while and its provided me with a lot of good info. As some have posted on here, there is a guy on ebay (rch72) which can do the hack for N1's with newer software. My question is that he also has a service to upgrade the ipod and xm interface:

Does anyone know how this is done? Is it hardware? Its definately not software as I have the CDNV-70MTP disk and Pioneer's website specifically says that these disks do not upgrade those interfaces.

Is it hardware? Software? New brain software or something? Has anyone done this? I tried searching but it seems like every post matches what I was looking for (LOL).

So is it possible to add this chip or better to buy an N3 brian? From what ive seen you can use an N3 brian with a N1 HU with new software correct?
