GPS/Navigation Error

I've just recently had the Z2 installed in my Buick Rendezous Ultra, and I absolutley love the media aspect of the device. My only beef is that my navigation is useless. Granted, the term "useless" is only being resorted to after many frustrating drives with no assistance. I know nothing about car audio installation, so I had my device installed in Canton, Ohio. The gentlemen there told me that it would take a bit (they recommended I drive to Cleveland - 45 miles away) of driving before the system "calibrated" properly. I've driven to Cleveland probably 8 times since, and it still does the same thing. The speed is about 20 Mph off at all times, and it always shows me near, but never on the actual road/highway that I'm on. It puts me within about a half-mile radius of where I truly am. I've had the device a month now, and I'd really like to exhaust any options that I may have control over before taking it back to the installer. Are there any software settings/programming that I need to do? I'm not up for the challenge of unmounting this thing. They had to file down part of my woodgrain dash in order to make this bad boy fit, and I would just mess everything up. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this. Take care.

Alright, I'll have to take it in then. Do you know what numbers/read out I should be receiving from the 3-D Menu under "Settings"?
