read the stickies in the "hacks and mods" sub-forum....most of your questions should be answered.

dawgbone,

Thanks for your reply. I read the FAQ sticky note. I just want to confirm my understanding.

1) I do need to unlock my Z1 hard drive first before I can ghost image it, correct?

2) Do I need to unlock my new image hard drive for Z1 to read it, assuming it's a brand new drive?

Thanks.

You didn't read the stickies did you...LOL...J/K

yes, you need to unlock the original Z2 HDD(then disable the lock)

No, you do not need to unlock the new drive, but you need to disable the locking feature. Otherwise, the Z2 will lock it, and you will have to go through the trouble of unlocking it all over...

Once unlocked(AFFF) Use the MHDD(or whatever) to disable the locking feature...it's step-by-step in the stickis, and is super easy to do.
