Is it a no no to connect the power wire from the XM unit to the power wire going to an amp on the amp itself? Seems like the XM shouldn't drain that much voltage... Is this ok to do but cheesy or is it really unsafe?

thats how i have it, make sure its the constant battery power though. Ive had no problems, had it like that for a couple weeks now.
