ok, so i switched vehicles my AVIC 80dvd was connected to. it is mated with a pioneer avh6600 HU. Now, the HU does not detect the Navigation is hooked into it. the HU and the AVIC unit powers up properly, i have the two connected to each other properly. the only thing i question is my VSS wire, but from what i understand, this will not affect the detection.

any help or ideas?

Try resting the radio

it seems the radio had to be reset, and the whole system cycled on/off a few times, and re-inserting the map disc a few times. works like a charm, and man, i would die without it.
