have your radio to the av menu (the one that displays the radio, ipod, xm, bluetooth button)----------> then press the off button on the bottom right corner----------->then press the tab on the top of the display that reads "initilial"------> i believe thats were you can change the voice guidance mode (ATT- lowers the radio volume and increases the voice guidance when ever it has directions to tell you then resume normal sound when its done. MUTE- totally mutes the radio when the voice comes on then resumes normal sound when its done, or OFF- both voice and radio volumes saty the same and makes it hard to hear the guidance over you radio.

i use ATT.
