Does anyone know where these wires are on an 04 GTI? I've searched but come up blind. Also, what happens if I don't hook these up?

Go here instead.. You dont need to pull the dash out at all, you can get at it next to the clutch (up from the floor) in the main fuse panel.. Blue wire, white stripe.. Pics/guide here:

Look at photo 17. Thats your VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wire right there

Are you sure about that wire by the kick panel?

100% Thats where I hooked mine into and she works perfect.
