Does any one know if there is any way I can get the FM radio station name and the song title that is being played. My factory radio use to do this on most of the local stations.

Any one find this one out??

From looking through the manual it appears as though the Z1 DOES NOT support RDS. I find that incredible, but it seems true.

That is just lazy and pathetic on Pioneer’s part. They have to fix this. I have called and complained about this. If any one else wants to call and complain the number is 800-421-1404

Well...fixing it is not that easy unless Pioneer has it built-in the unit only to be masked by the firmware. I doubt this is the case. For the HU to receive true RDS signals it will require some hardware...so, for now we're screwed. Maybe Pioneer is holding back and waiting for the release of an AVIC Z2?
