Hi guys, maybe an easy fix, but ill ask. When the nav screen is up, and tracking OK, Ill take a turn and the icon goes off the road???? 10-30 seconds later it jumps location back to the road and tracks OK until I turn again?????? easy fix???? any one with help???? I have had the Kenwood DDX 8017 with the Kenwood/Garmin nav and it tracked fine. Oh I have a brand new Avis N-1 with Sirus and steering wheel controls in a 2006 ford f350 SRW King Ranch with powerstroke DSL? Thanks, Patrick

Did you hook up the VSS wire and put the antenna in a good location?

also make sure the brain is mounted properly, it cant be all rigged in or pointing wrong way.

yea, the brain is right, and it was installed professionally, it just wont track turns well for about 15 seconds, its ok on a highway but in a city or development its hell??? VSS is good, and antenna is clear???

wheres the brain? the reason i ask is just because you think its profesionally installed doesnt necessarily mean it was... unless you use your judgement on the quality and you see how it is.

went to tech that installed it states the brain is oriented correctly but lays at a 45 degree angle, would that cause a problem?

yes, exactly!

After a new install the unit takes time to learn the turns. It took my Avic N3 about a week to know all the turns. Yea sometimes it guess's where I am on a road. But I would say 99.5 times it is right on point. Oh and I don't have the VSS cable, Reverse cable or brake cable on. Later,
