I just had this unit installed on my 2002 chevy pickup. The installer said I would have to have my parking brake engaged slightly to watch DVDs while travelling with the family. My brake light on my console comes on and it chimes continously. What can I do so I can watch while driving?

the green wire needs to be grounded AFTER the radio turns on. to do this you can simply wire up a relay off of the blue/white remote wire that will throw a ground whenever the radios on. good luck

he will put in a relay tomorrow. Should work then it sounds like. He did a good job with the install, but my MP3 player doesnt work and I put in blue tooth and have no friggin clue how to use it.

He installed a small switch. Works well now.
