Z150BH. Today, I installed the brake bypass wire with pin that I bought on eBay. Bought it only because I didn't want to fight getting the mute wire removed and re-inserted in the other hole in the RCA plug. Seems like a lot of people were having a difficult time getting the mute wire out to move it over. This wire comes with the pin already crimped on and all I had to do was push it into the hole. Compared to what I spent on the stereo and accessories what's another 9 or 10 dollars? Worked perfect! Now I can change any settings and watch DVD while the car is moving. So the brake wire and the wire from eBay inserted in the hole next to the mute wire on the RCA plug are the two that needs to be grounded. That's all there was to it for me.

I just installed this system today. I grounded the green emergency brake wire, as was told.
When I am moving all but one of the editing functions are grayed out and I can't even adjust the fader or balance. Any help would be welcome!
AVIC- Z150BH screen not bright enough for a convertible

AVIC-Z150BH I bought this unit and installed it late last fall so didn't get a chance to test it out with the top down. I'm really disapointed in the brightness of the display. In map mode with the top down I can't hardly see the display at all. I have the brightness and contrast turned all the way up and makes no difference. I have a Garmin gps on my motorcycle and a Garmin gps for the car that is way brighter than this unit is. Even in the music mode screen I can barely see it unless I put the top up. Had I known this would be so dim I wouldn't have bought it. Oh well, it is what it is. Still sounds great anyway.
