  1. Is it okay to ground both of the wires together or should I use a separate ground for each wire. Also does my speed sensor wire have to be connected or is it okay to leave it unconnected on my Z2?

I am tring to make sure i get this right this time because i had a z1 a week ago. I tried the z1 bypass and it worked but i ended up having to by a new unit because a weird noise was coming through my unit. If anyone wants to buy it I will sell it for a little of nothing. Everything works well just getting a weird noise when connected through the amp.

    Hey,

I grounded the wire that you suggested to bypass the z1 and now I am getting problems with a buzz noise through my speakers. Do you have any idea what this may be? Have you heard of anyone with this problem. The funny thing is that the buzz noise is constant, but when i open one of my doors I get another noise on top of the buzz noise for about 3 seconds then it goes away, leaving just the buzz noise again.

I have never heard of this. You might want to post this in the problem section. But it sounds like a ground problem. Sounds like the grounds for the radio and the bypass are not really good grounds (or one is and the other isn't). Noise like this is usually a grounding problem. I would look into those and post this and see if anyone else has any thoughts.

  3. Can anyone help? I have a 2006 300C and i tried to do a bypass on my avic z1 yesterday and now i get this weird noise.

The weird thing is that its not alternator noise because the engine dosen't have to be running to get the noise.

I did the bypass by grounding the way it said on this site. Also, does anyone know how to install the illumination and the speed sensor on the chrysler 300 C?
