1. "adamdenterkin" thanks so much. Yes, it's working now. Step 3 was the missing link (ezrider file).

One question, after the upgrade, shouldn't I be able to see the firmware upgrade 3.0 version on the "service information" tab. When I check it, I still see version 2.006000.

    Thanks,

  2. FourG I have successfully applied this hack to my f90bt. I reformatted my sd card to fat32 and put both the winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks and it worked perfectly. Make sure your choosing to update wince from sd(not formatted). I have 2.0 software though not 2.006. Hope this helps

I am having the exact same problem as "FourG". I have an F90bt and I followed the directions word by word and I still get that error message. However, I think the problem my reside on the 2.006 upgrade. I installed it last week. I am going to revert back to 2.0 and then try the 3.0 upgrade upagain. I will post my results after lunch.

  3. They said it will have a key to install, but really whats stopping us from all using the same key? Unless we have to give them our SN at the time of purchase which they then generate the key off of (and i highly doubt that), theres no reason the same key can't be used more than once. Its not like the units have internet access to "phone home" like Vista does.

If it requires a key and we are only able to use it once, can't we take a virgin copy, apply the upgrade and then distribute it to the group who bought the upgrade? just a thought!

  4. First able let me thank everyone for their hard work on the Z3 Image, thank you much!

Second, I wanted to know if anyone is encountering PROBLEMS with the new Z3 image (used Megaupload to download the RAR files). I restored it on the original 30gb drive from the Z1 and the entire process when without any problems. This morning I installed the HDD in my car and I noticed whenever I pressed the VOICE COMMAND icon it made the system to reboot. Do we have a corrupted image?

    Thanks Hyperite!

I am wondering, if any Z2 users that upgraded to the Z3 Image are having the Voice Command problem?

  7. Another reason to get rid-off my AVIC-Z1 and any other Pioneer components i may own. I don't know how you guys feel, but I am ready for some real customer appreciation and up to date technology support. Any recommendations on a equivalent navigation systems.
  8. thank you all. Keep it coming. par tof the reason for the sony amp is that space is limited in the car, so there was a size limitation on the amp. Excuse my lack of experience, but is the avic-d3 too weak to drive speakers without external amps? thanks in advance.

I own an Eos and I know for a fact you have plenty space for any size amp under the front passenger seat. This is true if don't have power seats.

    Hope this helps.

  9.

Brachoza,

Do you have the vss wire for 2007 VW Eos. I asked this question few months back and you didn't have it. I am hoping that you might have the information by now.

    Thanks,
Speed signal is sent through the canbus system in that car. In other words without a module, you're not getting the vss hooked up.
Hi cntrylvr79,

Thanks for the REPLY. Where can I get the module and any idea how much it cost?
  10. Has anyone installed a D-3 in a 07GTi. I want to get a D3 installed without loosing the steering wheel controls and Screen in Gauge cluster. I know there are extra adapters that u can buy to connect the D3 unit to the adapter then from the adapter to steering wheel and so on. I just want to know has anyone did this and how did it turn out?

I installed an AVIC Z1 on my 2007 VW Eos. If you get the VSS wire for your 07GTi, can you share it with me. I am still looking around for the VSS wire off the Instrunsment Cluster, so I can finish my connection.

  11. I was wondering if someone can help me locate a 12 volt accessory wire connection with a Retained Accessory Power in the new 2007 VW Eos.

I just replaced the OEM radio with a AVIC-Z1 nav systemt and I would like to the HU to stay on (just like before) after the ignition key is turned off. This feature allowed the HU to stay on until the door is open or until it reached 20 minutes.

    Any help will be appreciated.

  12. The direction arrow that shows the direction the car is pointing slowly drifts off course. This happens all the time - I reset the direction in the Settings menu and within five miles it is pointing 90 degrees to the actual direction. When this happens, the position on the map is still OK, but navigation to a destination goes screwy - it seems to be giving detour instructions to try to get the car pointed in the proper direction to get to the destination.

I have occassionally seen the "vibration" warning in the Hardware screen but not often and the problem occurs even when this warning isn't there.

Everything else works fine - Sirius, iPod, backup camera, maps, etc. Any suggestions?

I am having the exact same problem. My unit was working fine, for two weeks and all the suddenly the pointer started drifting out of control. I will try Ducatiboy's suggestion.

Are you still having this problem and if not, what did you do to fix it?

  13. Hello, I just installed my z-1 (Sept 06) in a 07 avalanche using the wire bypass I have Ipod, xm, Sirius and bluetooth, everything works fine except I cant dial out with the HU unit. I can use the phone to dial and the bluetooth will pickup the call but if I try to dial from the address book or any of the poi nav screens it just jumps to the map. I am using a Treo 650 cingular. Any ideas or is this normal?

I am having the exact same problem. My phone is a Nokia N93 and I can't dial out using the Z1.

Is anyone using this type of phone and not encountering this problem?
