I have an issue with my avic970dab unit.

1. I cannot pair phone in iGo

2. I cannot remove previously paired phones

3. Car play does not work. The unit only shows the ipod logos

4. AVICSYNC app does not connect to iGo

I have tried to reset navi, bluetooth etc. But iGo paired devices are not reset.

Is there a way to completely reset the device?

Hi all,

I recently bought the Pioneer AVIC F970DAB (this is the european version).

I also bought all the required cables and it kind of works.

However it seems, i cannot use the factory bt microphone in the car, and no information is displayed in the MFD3 display.

After some googling I found the Idatalink Maestro RR.

They claim vw bluetooth works fine and I would be able to retain all functionality with the MFD3. However it has only been tested with the US versions of the pioneer head units. And apparently (talking to their tech suport) the US versions do not the climate control and park assist functions, and the functions have not been implemented into the the Maestro firmware. However he said that it could work if i'm lucky... but he could not promise anything since it seems the EU versions do not have the idatalink port (but some kind of vehicle obd bus port instead)... assuming that is not the same thing??

Now, I hope that someone here at the forum has tried the Maestro RR unit on a EU head unit.

- does it work?

- can u use the factory microphone?

- steering wheel control?

- climate control?

- park assist?

- MFD display?

Another solution would be, do you know any way I can use the factory mic and have the above functionality? I currently have the CD-SVW-UAR.003AE Harness... not very happy

Hi everyone,

 

I have a F940BT that i tried to update to 5.100 from 4.00. I followed the guide and instructions to the book.

 

Even followed a video from pioneer in australia. I did the 1. program ucom write and it ran the update twice before coming up with cs err.

 

I wasn't able to exit out of the update console. In the end i managed to get the head unit to turn off but now it will not boot up at all. No boot logo just a blank/black screen.

 

Does anyone know what i can do to revive the unit back up please?

Hi all,

I've got the same problem as you... 

Bought a 2nd hand avic f940bt.

Installed the 2013 maps (worked perfect after that)

Bought and installed the ui202navi for iphone 5 connectivity

Read that I had to update firmware to 5.1.

Put the firmwared on formatted sd-card

Here I used write all ucom data, instead of write ucom data.

So i saw two rows updating. and it was successful.

Then I waited, and waited... nothing happened... so I thought. ok lets try the "write ucom data".

It started writing again, but repeated it several times with a CS error.

Then the unit would not shut off. at all, not even when I removed the key.

Then I tried to navigate, and when i doubletapped the screen, the unit shut off.

And not it has been staying off since... no life at all.

I tried disconnecting the battery, and checking the fuses... no reaction.

what to do? any suggestions?
