  1. Alright well I got it all done up, just having a few little hick ups I'm not sure if they are the HU it's self or if it's my wiring. But I got it all powered up, playing music out of where it should, displaying my speed and what not, but my volume controls do not work, and I read that it can possibly have something to do with my mute wire, somewhere along that mute wire, either incorrect bypass, or grounding has an issue. I'll resolve it, and post pics and step by step how to. Thanks to all u DIC*'S! For replying I would have never done it without y'all! NOT!!!!

  2. What's up guys, so after over a month of trying to figure out how to actually install this Z2, I got it in, to find that some of the dam buttons don't work.... The volume button doesn't change anything. And I noticed that they feel like they stick, and sometimes pushing them they don't even make a click type of reaction a button would do. Also the button to the right of the volume worked "selectively" when it wanted to... Not every time.. It's odd. Also the button at the very end, right side, does nothing when I press it, again like I said sorry I'm very new to this double din world, and have been studying and studying on how to install it, to find it doesn't even work well.... I got it off ebay or a pretty good price and it's is in great condition cosmetically... But what good is that lol... Also I notice whenever I use the touch screen buttons, right when I press a button it makes a engine whine for a sit second, the duration of the click of the button itself, so it's very quick, but when playing music, it's odd, doesn't have engine noise at all... If anyone is willing to take a few moments in helping me I'd really appreciate any suggestions as comments.... I almost regret all of this it's just been such a head ache, to find this now... :/ thanks guys.

  3. You know honestly.... I've gone through so many threads... From Clublexus.com, lexusownersclub.com, AVIC411!!!! AND NOT ONE SINGLE THREAD MADE FOR THIS IS COMPREHENDIBLE! So I'm going to handle this ISH and show you people how the hell to make a dam DIY... People showing pictures saying connect the green wire with the yellow, and there pictures don't even have a green wtf is wrong with you... Either that or you can't bring up any of the photo's anymore leaving it USELESS! Stay posted I'll handle it with clear photo's with a detailed explanation... Grandma should be able to do it...

  4. well i figured out what i am going to use and not, but figured no one would answer... ive read every post from club lexus, to lexusowners.... not one person can write a DIY thread thats comprehendable... what an absolute joke... they take the time to write a thread but cutt corners like a bunch of illiterate high school drop outs.... I offer free parts and still no one could take the time to makke use of what a forum like this ones about... thanks..

  5. Whats up guys, so I got a Z2 for my Gs300, and I currently have a after market amp installed in the trunk for my subs. I still use the factory amp, and cd changer, but obviously am going to lose that once installed. My questions pretty straight forward, ive seen a few methods of installing the head unit and by passing the factory amp Via making a harness with two of the Metra 70-1761 kits, one at the stock amps end, and the other to plug "directly" into the avics harness... sounds simple right? pretty straight forward? well, yea, not when you got this all, and know almost nothing about radio installs, besides the basics of installing an amp and subs. I did not install the current set up I have, I got it professionally done, which like I mentioned, still utiliZes my stock speakers, amp, and CD changer in the glove box, but no longer uses my stock sub which I removed. Heres some pics of what im working with, if anyone could give me any intel id greatly appretiate it, I am left with a mess (to me it looks like) of wires and dont know what should be used, and what possibly shouldnt. Ive included pics of what im "supposed" to make as well if it will help you understand. IF YOU OWN A LEXUS GS300 AND CAN HELP ME! I have a spare 2000 platinum edition ive been parting out, I WILL GIVE YOU INTERIOR OR IF I HAVE WHAT YOU MAY NEED! FOR FREE IN RETURN IN APPRETIATION!
