  1. I need some clarification on this...

Where is this speed sensor connecting to?

I will check the settings options mentioned above but what I'm experiencing is that anything over 30mph, the HU will show me  as +3mph over.

  2. Everything you need to know is on page 204-205 of your manual. Its called map matching. Not sure if there is a way to turn it off, but it explains the reasons it can become confused and put you on parallel roads.

    Thanks Epsil

  3. So here's my scenario...driving on a main road and drive into a local walmart. The navigation will throw me onto the closest road it "thinks" I'm on. Where can I take this off for it not to do this? Anyone experience this?

  4. Thankfully you got the other guys insurance. It sounds like his insurance is either gonna sky rocket or they are gonna drop him entirely. Drenyce311 make sure you go over the car throughly when you get it back. The other guys insurance are gonna try to fix your whip at the cheapest rate possible. Not to your benefit.

    Double that...

Also check under the car as well. I had my car sent to a shop and they used the wrong jack points and there is a huge dent in the bottom frame where the car caved in some what.

Check for orange peel, where the paint looks textured...

  5. I set up custom eq and change my selection depending upon the source, basically I use the powerful settings and customize that, one for aha and pandora, and then again a different setting for iPod and sd card. Pandora and aha needs more mid and bass and iPod needs more treble and little bass bump for my liking. My recommendation is to make small adjustments, listen for a bit and see what you enjoy more. It took me a few days to get how I enjoy my sound.

I'm more of a heavy metal, slow rock listener, but I do enjoy me some Adell too.

Having the eq settings one touch away is absolutely a great idea pioneer selected to do.

Thanks for the recommendation Tekki... it definitely does make sense tweaking it one notch at a time and if I like the change, move to the next section.

  6. I went with the 7000 only because when I examined both units in the local audio shop both units looked identical. The 7000 has anti-glare coating so it won't be as bright or vibrant as the 8000. TBH, I really couldn't see much of a difference, though the 8000 seemed just a tad bit faster.

Yea the brightness is insane. Looks great in the daytime and at night. But in my truck the brightness dim with the DRL set to Auto. Dims at night and brightens in the daytime

Dre, when you dim the lights inside your car, the unit dims as well? Like if you manually use your dimmer switch, will the unit dim?

  7. Given the propensity for victims to go after the deepest pockets available, it seems Pioneer has all of the legal protection of a fig leaf. They'd have to demonstrate why service centers and techs would need to bypass a safety feature in order to troubleshoot.

    Well said...

All they would need to do is bring a brand new unit vs the unit in question and if yours plays regardless of driving while the new one doesn't they'd be free and clear.

  8. App Radio will work the same way with the NEX8000. But the 8000 will have CarPlay, if you have an iPhone and the 150 won't. Also, the 8000 has better navigation, a better touchscreen, and many UI improvements. I have a 150 and intend on selling it when the CarPlay firmware upgrade comes out this summer.

I completely agree with what Bob said. Dual cameras too...
