  1. So I'm trying to update to the 2015 Q3 map on my 8200NEX. My phone will proceed to connect and then start transferring the map data. It will run for about 15 minutes in the time to complete will increase but it will steadily transfer a little data before disassociating my phone. Has anyone had the same problem? I'm unsure if my phone is getting disassociated because it can't handle all the data it's trying to move to my head unit. Looking for a solution.

  2. But there are members that have unlocked the data on the current SD cards and have backed it up... and have claimed that it can be uploaded onto another SD card with proper method and it would operate just like the one pioneer puts in there. But no, it's not a simple copy paste job.

  3. From what i'm hearing which is more assumption... the "igo" is the map data on initial boot up of the nav.... But that isn't for certain... no one has tried that to see if it would fix the issue. But when my warranty is up on the headunit then i may try and go that route.

  4. Well, as of now i'm getting a replacement from the dealer. Pioneer considers that issue as the unit being defective, so there isn't any out of the box solution that's is directly from pioneer. Now if you are feeling bold, you can pull open your headunit and remove and replace the internal SD car with equal storage size or larger after you upload the back up data that is provided by members on here. If this issue happens again i am going to do that.

  5. **UPDATE**

Well i basically filled out a report of the issue online to their Customer Support department on saturday since they were closed on the weekends. I figured they'd call me and run some Troubleshooting questions by me. Well this morning i got the following e-mail.

"Thank you for contacting Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.

You have a defective unit and unless the dealer will exchange it you will
need to ship the unit to Pioneer for warranty repairs.

    David
    Product Support Representative"

Looks like there isn't much troubleshooting needed with what i described it's obvious to them it's a known issue and has to be replaced or sent back for repairs... I'm going to see if i can get my dealer to send me a advance replacement since it's been less than 30 days of purchase. Sucks... hopefully they can send me a unit with a later build date hopefully it's not a bad batch. This one was built back in February 2016.

  6. Bleh, I'm going to call pioneer tomorrow. I left an inquiry online. I'm just wondering if the repair is actually updating the faulty parts or just replacing the same ones it had before. Because since I've only had my radio installed for a day I'm going to push they send me a replacement. If not it better be because it's getting updated less problematic parts.

  7. I'm having the issue as well. It happened after just one day... after install everything worked fabulous and then next day starting up my vehicle nav would just spin and spin and say Loading iGo... I do know that iGo has something to do with the Avicsync app... i'm wondering if and when my phone was plugged in with that app it fudged up my Nav.

  8. The Digital AV Adapter still works for AppRadio and video over HDMI! Granted, it isn't as elegant as it would be through CarPlay.

Yeah, i want to try carplay. But for how i got everything setup in my vehicle it becomes a hastle to switch back and forth. hmm.... has to be something i can do.

  9. so i'd like to figure out if i can just have a lightning cable running from USB2 to function Carplay and still have my lightning/Vga/HDMI adapter to function appradio if i want to... but as of now no confirmation on if appradio is permanently disable to test this out.

  10. So has anyone here used Appradio CarMediaPlay to watch videos? And what i'm gathering is that if you switch to Carplay and you are being forced to give up the HDMI/VGA lightning cable adapter you are giving up the ability to watch Video content from the phone since that is required.. I'm getting hesitant to do the update since that's is 30% of the reason i got this radio.. Be nice if someone posts up a full demo of the update and go over all the losses and gains. I think i'm going to wait a bit before doing the update... but i know will be getting the Iphone 6 soon. What do do???

    I have the 5000NEX btw.

  11. I have the cdiv202 hooked up with teh vga adapter and i have it set to wvga on the smartphone input through USB1... Now if i change it to USB and switch it to USB2 it will play music off my iphone but will not instantiate the video option when you are searching on the phones content... is this a glitch... because i know it will not see the ipod on wvga if hooked up to the cdiv202 that's running through usb1.... this is flustrating.... i tried unhooking the cd iv202 and running a straight usb through usb1 and turned it back to USB on the smartphone selection.... still doesn't un gray video..

  12. So wait wait wait.... is it impossible to play purchased ipod video content on our headunits? I got it to work through USB, but what about video files on our ipods. I saw the ipod controll demonstration videos from pioneer that show that video can be selected but on mine it's grey'd out. I do remember seeing a message that it says that it won't play because of it being protected content, but that's only when i play it from the phone as you would netflix and it's giving the output to screen. I'm getting more and more dissappointed with this unit. My old kenwood used to play vids off my iphone 3gs all the time.... i feel like they are taking steps backward.
