  1. I've friends that have the tried the CNDV-70D (not only copys, the orginala as well) in US players and it will not play! (this is the reason why there are quite a few US D3s for sale in Norway :))

I've also tried the US disc in my Euro player and the DVD will not play! I also made an ISO of my Euro disc and burnt it as an backup and there is no problem with this one, so there are no problems running backups, but it has to be the correct disc!

I haven't done any modifcations with the disc, what kind of modifications do you mean? I earlier thought it was the region code that was the problem, but there are no region code for the disc so I honestly don't know what it won't play...

  2. Does anyone know how to rip a CNDV-70 so it will fit into a DVD5?

There are two reasons why I need this:

    - I can't find any stores nearby that have duallayer DVDs and they are also expensive to experiment with.

    - I want to try customize the DVD so that I can put several POIs into the DVD. Today I need to load the POI with speedtraps from a CD-R and the memory can only hold 300 POI so it would be great if I could put them on the navi DVD instead!

So what I infact need to know is how to find out what IDX files I can remove and still have the map from my country :)

  3. I very soon got into problems since I can not change the region on the disc! Normaly I can change region with DVD decrypt but not on this disc, so my question is.... are you sure there is a region code on the disc? The navi dvd is a dataDVD (and not a DVD movie) and as far as I know it's not possible to put a regioncode on datadiscs :)

So maybe there is other reasons why the US player will not play euro discs?
