Ihave a z2 and just installed a back up camera and don't have any warning. I'm affraid I can't help. Any pics or what does it say

despite the little quirks of the z2 I'd buy it again.

if it's like the z2 and it's wired a little wrong; you have to go into the menu and turn on the power antena

if and when jonny law pulls you over; turn it off before he/she gets to your window

I have the 650 and it won't complete the registration process. I can still use the phone hands free. When a call comes through the z2 picks up. But when the call ends the system goes off line again and the "X" is through the phone again. I haven't found out how to get this fixed.

i just had to turn the volume down a little. Now all is fine

if it's like the z2 you have to turn it on in one of the menus. Once turned on it will work.

couldn't you just order one from pioneer?

Just read the D3 topic. Similar problem, so now I'm not so worried that I screwed the pooch during install.

not just with diesl trucks. I have a 2007 Saab 93 convertible and my z2 will not power up in the am. I have to do the shut down when the cabin warms up. Sucks but I love the unit so I can put up with it.

I'm in the process of installing it and should be done soon. I'll post a reply in the next couple of days. I was told the picture is clearer and it doesn't need as much light. Don't know how true the info was but it sold me anyway

I've read some of the old posts and everyone is talking about really cold temps. So far it's been realtively warm ( around 30 f ) this winter, but my unit will not start up until the interior of the car is warm. The screen is not just blacked out. The unit just does not start up. Has anyone else had this problem with mild temps?

somewhere here on the boards is a sticky that shows tested phones and other info. It's pretty detailed discussion. Hope it helps

my 2007 Saab came with this feature and it was kind of nice. The volume auto adjusted with increases in engine noise and seemed to be very responsive when the convertible top was down.

I think I found it. I need this to hook into my canbus so the steering wheel controls work. There is a good saab forum called saabcentral.com

what year is your Saab? I have a 2007 9-3 convertible and am having trouble finding the speed sensor wire. Do you have yours hooked up?

I just installed a June 07 Z2 in my Saab and only did the 2 wire bipass. Everything seems to be working just fine. I've driven about 400 miles and have not had any prolems. although ( if it matters ) I haven't hooked up the speed sensor.

So I guess I would try the two wire and if you're having issues, then update with the disk.

as far as the mute wire. If you read the bipass sticky the auther also ggives other wires to transfer to the proper location. The parking brake I would try to pig tail a ground on it to see if it works? I'm not sure if it would cause you to blow a fuse. Matbe someone else on the forum has done your model car before

did you guys log onto verison and see if there is a software update? I know there was one for the treo 650 to fix the problem.

what saab do you have? I drive a 2007 convertible and am currently awaiting the arrival of my z2. Before I bought the z2 I purchased the motorola ihf 1000. It still sits in the box as I want to try the bluetooth through the z2 first. If the quality through the z2 sucks, perhaps I will try to hook up the motorola.
