  1. Thanks for the quick and informative reply man!

Let me know how it goes, i'd really like to know what they fixed, maybe it's something thats do-it-yourself

how much did pioneer charge you? if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks again, it's just really weird considering when I go into the diagnostics the touch screen works perfectly

  2. Hey guys,

I have an Avic-Z1 and the touch screen won't work! I can see the map underneath the caution screen, but I can't press OK. I can put cds in and play them, but I can't change the track because only the volume and eject buttons work!

I tried doing the update off of the pioneer website, but it was a no go, I also went into the diagnostics and did a touch screen test, and when I touch the screen during that process, it works

so i don't know what to do now, any suggestions??

  3. Well each bose speaker is powered by it's own amp,

so it could possibly be that i need to connect that wire to the amp turn on wire on that metra adapter i have,

the amps for the bose speakers probably arn't turning on

    what do you think?

  4. Hey guys, i was installing my Avic-Z1 today connected all the wires and got no sound

i have a 1998 nissan maxima with bose

and i have a metra 70-7551 kit for it which uses the pre-outs of the deck

i did all the colour to colour match ups, but i don't know what to do with the blue/white wire coming out from the RCA preout connector 1and im thinking this may be my problem

    any ideas?

    thanks guys
