  1. Can anyone tell or guess wisely whether and when we could see a newer update for maps by this seller?

    I think I got a mistake, I confused the Q3, I think it’s the latest, right?

    If so, are you satisfied by this seller? Is it working?

  2. Can anyone answer why the flagship series units which are tremendously expensive, don't come out with a removable faceplate?

    I mean, OK they are provided with a security code to unlock, but I am not convinced that they cannot be hacked on that!

  3. I am disappointed from Pioneer's behavior and I am considering never to purchase any of their products. Luck of completely "off" mode (turning off entirely, no power consumption or function at all) and obviously there won't come out any serious firmware updates but only new models sometime. Many other annoying functions and lacks as pre-mentioned here. Not to mention that map update is overpriced for a buggy and freezing hardware!

  4. You mean with the same update file that I have copied on the SD card? I have seen on their site now, that they have released a newer version 1.1.4, so if I download it and copy it on a SD card, first I should update from the main menu and then on the bluetooth menu, always with the same update file?

    Thank you for giving me this information that I could not get anywhere else!

  5. After updating to the latest version, I faced a new problem! Everytime I press the "map" button in order to activate the navigation functions, a message shows on screen "please make sure you have the latest version of bluetooth firmware of the unit". I mean, what is this, I have the latest update on AVIC-F60DAB and also the latest firmware on iPhone 6S and of course no jailbreaks etc at all! Could anyone please understand what is going on and maybe help me understand too? I have contacted via email with local representative of Pioneer but as always they seem to be out of understanding...!

    I am not sure, but could this procedure of reset and test mode harm the machine?

    Where could I get the testmode? 

    Once installed such an independent navigation software, will the original navigation software of Pioneer will be available or will it be replaced and therefore deleted?

  7. Is it possible to replace or add as extra software for navigation, such as navigon etc? I can tell for sure that navgate of pioneer lacks several things, especially turn by turn voice announcement of streets in other languages except for english. I'm interested in greek language.

  8. Hi, I'm from Greece and I had a similar problem with the same unit I purchased on 23/6/2014. Representative of Pioneer in Greece, mentioned me that I should sent the device to service department which is applied to another company, which I did.

    The answer I got… "the unit works perfectly"  :shock:

    I tested the unit again and the same issue appeared. Same story again. I became very angry, especially when I started knowing that this case would last long! One of the times I had sent the unit to service department, they called me after a week or so and mentioned that I should pay 100€ for replacing the central card in the unit!!! :idea: Immediately I told that this was a new product and I asked for the reason of having to pay, since it had a warranty? Then they changed and said, OK no problem, it is ready, you may take it back. Already I wondered? Anyway I got there the very next day and when I asked if the central card was replaced as was told by phone, the answer I got was negative, that manager mentioned me with a bit tone, that no one spoked of replacing a card. The unit was repaired he said. I asked for a certificate of repair and he refused to give me any, by saying that the repair order was given to the factory in China!!! As much of these, another issue was added from that day, bluetooth function was without sound and voice and the touch panel a few times was not responding.

    Though I communicated more than three times with representative of Pioneer in Greece and Pioneer Europe, the first always were answering typical (because the Pioneer Europe didn't answered except from once), that I should go to service, which by the way declared that the unit was working perfectly  :mrgreen:  (…probably the department of service could apply for a job in NASA) 

    I had 700€ for a device which was faulty and though I made several tests on my vehicle e.g changed new battery, new cable driven directly from battery with another fuse etc the same problem happened at the end! Finally after 6 months of delay and lot of nervous feelings, I ended up being in contact with representative from Pioneer in Greece through the shop I purchased this product and was offered to have a replacement of the fault product, which I accepted and preferred to give a few extra money amount in order to get the AVIC-F60DAB.

    In my conclusion, I don't intend to purchase any Pioneer products again. I'm curious whether a company deserves respect if no respect is applied to their customers!

  9. Is it possible to have announcement of street names during guidance? This feature is very useful in iPhone and Navigon, but I can't accept the point of an expensive machine such as Pioneer AVIC-F60DAB that is unable to provide that feature! Anyone that can give some help? Also interesting in greek audio guidance.
