  1. UPDATE: I did a factory reset (paper clip in the small hole lower right corner). Radio apparently did reset, as it came up on a screen saying I need to enter the password. I know the password, so I clicked OK to get to the input screen. Nothing. The screen seems to not be responding to touch. Is there anything I can do, besides sending it in for repairs?

  2. I pulled my 4100NEX today to replace the Android cable to try to get it to work with Android Auto. I have a new Samsung Note9 phone with a USB-C connector, and I've read that the phones are fussy about what kind of cables you use for Android Auto.  I tried a couple that I had around the house last week and they didn't work, so I picked up a couple different USB 3.1 Gen 2 cables last night. I pulled the radio out of the dashboard, and when I turned it on, it seemed to take a little longer on the Loading screen. It then went to the Warning screen, but I get no response to hitting OK. Can't get past that screen. As far as I can tell I didn't pull any wires loose. Pulling the radio out last week and putting it back didn't have this problem. Any ideas what happened, and what I can do about it?

    Thanks!

  3. I have a 4100NEX. Recently I've become unable to use the radio to make calls in my car. When I make or receive a call the other party can hear me, but I can't hear them. This happens over Bluetooth and when plugged in over Android Auto. I took the car into the shop that installed the radio. They checked all the connections and settings and said everything was ok, and blamed a setting on the phone. We have an AT&T service center in my town, so I took my Samsung Note5 there, and they told me that the problem was with the radio. So now I'm stuck in the middle. I turned off the Bluetooth on the radio so that the phone doesn't connect. Now I can make and receive calls, but I risk getting a ticket for not being hand held.

Also, I noticed that when the call connects the microphone in the upper right corner gets a slash through it, and the slash is removed when the call is disconnected.

    Suggestions?

Edit: I connected an iPhone to the radio via Bluetooth and had the same problem, so it's definitely an issue with the radio.

  4. Hi,

I recently installed a Pioneer 4100NEX in my 2014 Jeep Patriot.  Android Auto works great with my Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 5.0, but I can't get App Radio to work.  I purchased the Pioneer CD-AH200 kit, and connected to the HDMI and USB cables using the MHL adapter.  The phone is also Bluetooth connected to the radio.  I installed the Appradio app on my phone and started it.  When I hit the Home key on the radio the App button has an X and no apps appear. What am I doing wrong?
