Not sure if it helps, but I put that setup on a regular Pioneer CD player and it worked identical to the PNR2. And the PNR2 is cheaper

That is pretty much what I was looking for. If there are no feature improvements than I will go with the cheaper PNR2.

Just trying to decide if I should go with the older SIR-PNR2 or the new setup with the SCC1 and CD-SB10. I have been digging trough the forum and haven't found anything yet.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have been searching around trying to figure out if there is any benefit of going to the newer tuner.

Are there any limitations on the SIR-PNR2? I will be hooking up my SIRIUS to my new AVIC-D3.

Wonder how that guy in the link made it work, doesnt look like he made any modifications to the dash.

That is a custom dash panel, I just ordered a spare dash panel so I can modify mine to fit a D3.

I have a 2000 grand prix, and the company that installed my AVIC-N2 but the brain on a "shelf" behind the console (dash board) guess they mean on the floor? anyways... anyone know how to get back there?

If they were smart they should have installed it below the center console. You will have to start at the armrest and work your way towards the front.
