  1. I will have to say that Garret is very fast, professional and his quality is great. He updated 2 of my drives a Z3 and a Z1 to Z3 with updated maps. He even copied all my music off one drive and placed it on my other so both drives were mirror images. He emailed me when he recieved the package in the mail and later that day when they were be mailed back. Thank you

  2. Did the digital tuner for the house in the truck yesterday - NO GOOD. I picked up 33 channels until I went faster than 2 mph and they locked up. I live in the city of West Palm Beach so reception was great.

What I did do is went and got a Slingbox, and use my AT&T Fuze phone with TV output and get all 700 channels Comcast puts out and able to use my DVR function to. No monthly fees - picture quality is a 7.5 on a scale of 1 - 10 but hey it works

  3. The 200km your looking at is for Europe & Colombia digital TV not US. DVB is not the same as the US.

We need the ATSC-1201 made by VCAN.

ATSC is replacing NTSC in the states.

Has anyone yet tried and posted the results of a home system yet. I read one post but the person never came back to post the results

  4. This company has the first one I have seen. I have their pricelist if anyone wants it. Their prices are awesome for what you get. China brand is China brand but hell most of everything is made their now anyways.

I think the price was $95 and it is not pictured on the website. It is advertised as good up to 45km so far. I have a full PDF file catalog of there stuff with prices.

  5. I juts had my Z2 stolen out of my truck last week. Statefarm is offering to send me a new Z3 in its place. My question is if it has my home address in it yet. I have informed telenav the last 2 years about it.

If you can let me know if they fixed the maps yet it would be appreciated.

  6. Your method does work. It was one of the first tested methods out there. It just became a more of a headache and totally surpassed the ability to navigate the address search and moving map while driving or use navgation while your TV or DVD was playing. Thats why someone kept search and found the solder trick. Makes it like the day it was new with the parking brake wire hooked up - but with 2006 updated discs.

Go ahead and rest assured it will work for you. Plus its about $85 cheaper to hook up wires and switches than send it out for a solder job.

  7. The guy did my bypass for $100, cheaper than a new screen. But it sounds like you may have other issues. Are you running bootleg disks? I know I got a set of corupt 60 disks when i first tried my upgrade and got the same message - ended up my gps chip was fried. I hope thats not teh case for you. that cost me $157.... I was pissed but I guess I learned my lesson, I paid $60 for a set of messed up disks that I had to buy again for $25 from the guy who did my upgrade. Cost more in the long run to do the cheaper (more expensive) way.

  8. That blows - I know when I called about mine before I sent it out they were pretty good about it. I had an old Pioneer 7300 that they kept so long they had to send me a new unit. they had ita month beofre they even touched it.

What I didn't like is you can never get ahold of the technician that works on your unit to ask any questions. Pioneer may make a good unit but their service sucks.

I had the same issue with my AVI N1 as you guys about 4 months ago - I sent my unit up to them for a ribbon wire change and it came back with the upgrade done AND scratches on the screen - which they later denied.

I called some guy out in Cali and he was going to do the upgrade for me but I was a bit skeptical sending it to an address that included an apartment number.

I found Rich thru ebay and figured atleast I would have recourse if he didnt fix it - I could get my money back thru paypal. I know I am plugging this guy again but I am doing this cuase I hate to see Pioneer profit from purposly fradualant work. He also warranties your unit for a year after the service. Try this guy he blows Pioneer out of the water. you get an email when your unit shows up on their step - and when its fixed you geta tracking number emailed to you so you can instantainiously track it.

Well back tosearch for a 1/2 din DVD player to hook up to my unit and a sub box for my 03 HD truck.
