I hate using Ipods. But my sister hates them too and shes willing to give me her old one to use on my N4. She has the Video Ipod (IDK 2 Gen maybe?), the black with chrome backing. I have an N4, If I get the CD-1200 cable, can I play video with this? I'd be willing to take my avox out and give the Ipod a shot if it does if it does....

The uploader only had the west disc. I need the east coast disc as well. My original (cough cough) is really getting bad.....

Wow, I don't know how the speeds are so slow, I'm seeding at 450kb/s, and already have a 6.7 upload ratio. There are 25 seeds out there also with only 15 leechers now. remember to open up your upload speeds to get the fastest download speeds. Thanx again for the back up.

Anybody with the new maps? I got a 5 mb upload speed (about 500-600kb/s) and will gladly seed for a good while....

I use it and yes although sometimes it can be sketchy, I have found that it saves me a lot of time. I also check ahead of my route before I commute, and it helps. I've had my unit for over 2 years now and in the beginning I hated it. But I have noticed that they improved over the past 2 years, and as more cameras go up, they should continue to improve. But eventually with all the new technologies, even this will become obsolete.
I heard Sirius is coming out with their own traffic thing. But instead of traffic cams and reports alone, it also receives driver info. For instance if I'm stuck in traffic the satellite will be able to detect that and relay that info to other drivers with units, so they will have a more accurate and up to the minute info. Sound's great, but so did nav traffic when it first came out. We'll have to wait and see.

okay nvm... what i thought was my cd-ib100 ipod adapter is actually my hide away unit. so can i just plug anything into it where it says audio video input and have it work? or do i have to buy output plugs that go to the main unit?
Yes, you an connect anything to it.
No extra plugs are required between the head unit and hide away box.

Hey my friend was telling me about another guys GPS system (IDK which) that will list speed traps and red light cameras also on the screen. Anybody know if there is anything like this on the N4? I know there's a check point icon, but speed traps and cameras I haven't seen.

I use my Avox Everywhere but I have only one problem. If I use any other A/V cable other than the one that came with the avox I get a little hum. When I reattach it with the avox provided cable, no hum. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks guys!! I originally tried to copy with nero and it didn't even recognize my disc (when I used the n4 discs). Dvd decrypter worked beautifully!!

Check and make sure you have the right upgrade disc. I think the D3 uses the same disc as the N4. What numbers do you have on your discs?

Thanx!! I had the same problem with my n4 after my car sat in my sloped driveway for the winter. I went on a 2500 mile trip relying on my avic n4. In the beginning it was fine but halfway through the trip it started to act up. Arrow would be sloped to the side so while on the high way the nav would think I was going local, or taking an exit. Sometimes the arrow would point in the exact opposite direction! I reset the factory options (still keeps home and previous destinations), and the went to 3d calibration and reset it (so it can learn again). Then I went to change current position (like you said) and set the position. I set my position a little forward like you said as well. I hate missing turns and I would rather have the system tell me about the turns earlier than being precise and have me miss a turn and having to double back.
