After having to ask what turned out to be an embarrassing question (by the way . . . I fumbled upon the setting and fixed the problem, but couldn't get back to the forum to delete the posting -- thanks for the help, anyway) I am certainly not the person to ask about the f-fwd of mp3's.

I do have one other question though --- how can I adjust the volume of the navigation voices when they interrupt? Compared to the music volume (regardless of source playing) the nav voice volume is really high!

I looked through the owner's manual, but couldn't find anything about this.

This is only my second day with the 8120, but it's great . .. Alpine R-series coaxials, Memphis MCA-3004 amp, Alpine overhead monitor (and duplicate DVD player . . couldn't find a monitor I liked better) and finally, the Boyo VTL-200 back-up cam. I'm happy!

I screwed with a setting and cannot figure out what I did to mess up the auto-switch to back-up camera mode when my truck is in Reverse.

Someone help! I can manually switch to rearview by holding the button for longer than one (1) second, but obviously that's not cool.

I'm having my 8120 installed tomorrow.

Any features, or special considerations regarding the install that you can think of? Example, I'm asking them to ground the safety wire/switch for those rare occassions I want to mess with a DVD, etc. while in motion . . . what else, or is that the only "custom" direction I should request?

Hmmm ... now there's an idea! I simply ran the cables into the glove box. Until now, that is.

But, how to mount to a faceplate on the dash? I'm stumped for the moment. Surely, someone has done this, or something similar. I just think it would be so cool to pop my flash drive into the port on the dash. Thoughts? Suggestions?

My 8120 is in the hands of FedEx and the install scheduled for late next week! Like many of us, my frustration and disappointment with Pioneer finally exceeded the maximum threshold of tolerance and acceptability.

Combined with my Memphis 4-channel amp, Alpine 5X7 R's, Boyo back-up and GXM-30, I think I'll be ret-to-go!

I too was curious about this unit. I posted in the "Other Navigation" forum. Virtually no response. Not much news I could find online about the 7000, but local shop seems excited about it.

Any reason why you went with the outboard module over the built-in Garmin? Was it cheaper?

Because when last I checked, A&E was back-ordered on the 8120. What was the pkg price for the HU and the outboard GPS?

Local shop that handles both Pioneer Elite and Kenwood Excelon says they are excited about the new JVC KD-NX7000 that launches soon. Anyone have experience with JVC, and/or additional insight into this unit?

I need one (1) unit, with install bracket if req'd (2004 Ford F250), and other accessories . . . . provided the value of the discount (and shipping) takes into consideration the volume of total units sales we represent and isn't just a token discount given the fact that we might all consider ourselves to be the "early adopters"; a class of consumers marketers believe are willing to pay a premium price in exchange for "being one of the first". I'm not that early of an adopter!
