  1. JLONG U ROCK! THANKS SO MUCH

But i seem to have a problem i downloaded the file using the FileZilla FTP clientt and when i try to extract it Winrar tells me its corrupted. Ok, so i went and downloaded the newer version and it still says the same thing. Does anyone know what i can do now to fix this?

use firefox or safari....they both work flawlessly...and burn disc using any ISO program...magicISO or powerISO etc etc ...should solve your issue....use the reset porthole by the eject button with the new disc in the unit and it will reboot and update correctly...

Yeah iam extracting it now i re downladed with firefox

  2. I have a problem some time i think the d3 does not warn me quick enough to make any turns lol. Is it because the VSS wire is not connected? On the highway its very good like Its on point. But in the city im saying to it tell me to turn before i cut another car off lol.

  3. I just used the Cyberlink Power2Go burning software that came with my Gateway FX laptop and it worked on the first try. No decrypting needed, just used DVD to DVD copy. I used the lowest speed setting and a Sony DL DVD+R.

Iam using those same discs but i keep getting errors. even when i went to write mode. it said operations failed and my drive i know is able to burn the discs.

I take it back i tried again and it worked with no problems. :D

    Thanx guys

  4. There should be 4 things connected to the box:

    A Mic

A Bus Wire to connect to the radio

    A Yellow Wire

    A Black Wire

The last 2 are attached to a clip and inserted into the same spot. The yellow is for power, and should be connected to the adapter at that clip, and then somewhere behind the dash to a yellow wire in the harness. Then a black wire also on that clip, is for grounding. That needs to be connected to any grounding wire or, simple screwed to a bare piece of metal yourself.

Now since you said it worked intermittently and then stopped working, I would check the yellow wire first. Because the adapter would turn on and off if that wire was loose. If that connection is clean on both ends, which isn't hard to fix, then check out the black grounding wire. If it's clean on both ends then you should be able to put everything back together, and be ready to use your bluetooth.

If all of the above is done correctly and you are still having trouble connecting, then there are 2 more issues it could be:

1.You're not setting your phone's bluetooth to On and Discoverable

2.You're not doing step one, and having your phone registered in the head unit

3.You have a Windows Mobile Based phone.

The answers for the first 2 are quite obvious, just do what you're not, if you're not.

As for a Windows Mobile based phones, you may want to check out www.jetwaremobile.com. There you can get some software for your phone that will allow you to work your phone with the bluetooth easily.

That's everything I can think of. Good Luck.

I added the phone as a user and it would usually erase after a while. My phone along with any other. But im going to check all the wires and stuff again later to see whats up. Thank you so much for the write up. Another thing so the bluetooth adapter is hooked up to where in the car again and even if the car is off its suppose to be on at all times or something?

  5. Does anyone know where and what wire is the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) wire for a 2004 Sequoia Limited 4x4? I'm getting ready to install an AVIC-D3 system and that is the only thing I need answered.

I have been searching for the answer for two days on this site and others. The closest I have found was on this site answering the same question for a 2007 Sequoia, would it be the same wire?

Thanks in advance for your answer...Nsurenu

do you even hasve to connect that wire because i didnt connect it in my 97 Acura TL

  6. That's what I'd check first. Make sure they're all secure.
where are these wires connected? I guess he said he fixed but i dont see how the problem only got worse. it doesnt save anything now for morer than a day. Is the adapter losing connection or something by turning itself on and off or reseting?
  7. asics130 i dont know what best buy you went to and if it is different from what are selling, but in the bay area, ca stores they all come with it. We are still going through some of our old stock which dont have it, but all the stock have them, trust me i just sold and installed one two days ago. Ours doesn't come with the ipod cable though.

one more thing, i posted this on the bakground thread but no one is responding, is there a way to add visualizers to the D3?

Yea i got mine from Best Buy with the bluetooth in the box. When salesman told me to get it b/c of the price, when he said bluetooth adapter came in the box i thought he was lying lol.
  8. I see Best Buy has a sale this week on the DDX512, is this the same as the DNX5120 but without the navigation which can be added later?

i a;most bought that lol. I went to the store to buy it actually. But the guy who helped the week before it said it had but it didn't. and i sat there for a while and pondered and just bought the D3. Even thought it wasnt what i wanted it eas just 100.00 dollars more with nav so i said that ill just take it instead of paying more for the module.

  9. Hey whats everyone? I bought a D3 for my 97 Acura TL. it works good and all but i have a problem with the bluetooth. its like most of the time i have to keep repairing the phone. It will connect automatically for like a few days but after everything is deleted; the contacts and the phone itself and i have to keep repairing and adding the address book to the radio idk why? can someone please help me?
