  1. Hi everyone! I have not been on this site since the days of the pre release of the Avic F90BT. I still currently have it and it is running smooth with a few hickups.

Recently the HD radio stalls, so I use the FM radio instead. Minor and just started a few weeks ago.

No I am looking to upgrade the software and noticed a hybrid v4 floating around. I currently have the http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/27807-fx31-complete-firmware-image/ FX3.0 with some 2012 maps I found some time ago and the updated windows ce that is included in the link above.

My question is can I outright install the hybrid 4.0 found here: http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36245-hybrid-40-avic-f900bt/? right over my FX3.0?

And does anyone have new US 2013 maps that can lead me to a link so I can update my older maps?

I really appreciate the help everyone.

  2. Thank you for the map updates!

Instead of putting all the new states and POI's on to my F90BT, I just switched out my state (Illinois) and PIO's to the updated 2011.

Is everyone else able to fit all the new 2011 maps and POI's on their units?

  3. Hello Chuck. How can I access the main screen of the Avic software? I'm not using your gui, but the stock Pioneer gui. Every time I start the unit on the PC, the map comes up and I can't access the home screen (considering there is no menu button). Is it a command on the keyboard (cttl + H?).

Also, I was having the same problem as kruuth. Except I found a solution. By deleting most states located in the "MAPS" folder, the unit iGo software will boot properly and not crash. Any idea as to why this happens?

  4. called and canceled my 3.0 order on Tuesday because i noticed that someone was able to hack the software. ever since i installed the new 3.0 (for freeee!!) and windows 5.0, i like the unit even more.... only because the response for button pressing has been greatly improved!!

cheers for the poster who posted the how-to for 3.0

  5. I was looking at MSN Direct and they have a new feature, doppler radar. This looks sweet but only avaliable to the Garmin GPS devices. WIth the new 3.0, it seems crazy that Pioneer would not integrate this new MSN feature... i would totally spend the $100 lifetime subscription to MSN if Pioneer made that a new feature. Who cares about looking at stocks in your car!?... Right? Thats a bs feature anyways. But doppler radar, that would totally be awesome!
