Try Audio Planet. Its on Jerico Turnpike in Huntington. They do very good work, although I doubt they'll do the bypass for you.

Hmm so this will upgrade the z1 completely to the z2? Not just the little color changes that happen when you use newer disks on the n1/n2?

 

Hopefully they'll do the same for the n4 in the future.

Actually I don't really use my CD changer. I had it in my old car back when they were still useful, and I had it put in my new one just because I had it.

 

I haven't changed the CDs since then, and that was over two years ago.

I know at least in my N3 that the raw capability exists but is not generally implimented.

 

What I mean is, if I add something to my address book, and give it a specific name for the voice commands, when I give the command the unit will repeat the name back to me.

 

Ex: I say "Stony Brook University"

 

The N3 then repeats "Stony Brook University" and proceeds to direct me.

I have just about the exact same thing. It was the head unit I used before I got the N3. It was the most basic one I could get at the time because I needed something that would work with the sirius and cd changer I had but I didn't have the money to buy anything more expensive. Its sitting in my closet right now

 

And now I have this expensive system that is great except for the fact that I can't get bluetooth capabilities on it.

This really pisses me off. Look at the list of radios that that unit is compatable with. Its compatable with all those shitty little head units, but still not for the N3? What gives here?!

I use Videora to convert movies for my video ipod. Works pretty well.

I tried one of those ipod charging docks that apple sells, but the CD-IB100 doesn't work in combination with it.

 

Although having a place to mount it is a good idea, having it sitting in with the gauges through the steering wheel doesn't seem like the best option.

I've yet to bypass my unit, and I still don't use the voice commands. :lol:

I think its pretty useless, but the remote is useful.

I never had any problems with the VC1, other then the fact that its completely useless.

Actually it was worth it for the remote, which I use a lot. The voice commands though; theres really nothing I can say thats any easier then simply pressing the button on the screen.

If its factory refurbished from pioneer, it will probably be fine. It will have a 90 day warranty so that should be long enough to test it for problems.
