  1. Hello,

I have a Pioneer Avic 900BT with the full speed control ipod usb cable.

It was working just fine all along until a month or two ago, I noticed that the music would skip just quickly while driving and it happens pretty often. It is annoying, would like to solve this problem.

I think that it happened after I tore my amps down and then reinstalled it, then this problem comes up. I hooked everything back up properly. The RCAs are not touching each other and my ground is good.

Note that music skips on iPods! I switched to a CD and it still does the same thing. I also have noticed that it does that more when I am in motion as in driving, while when I am parked and playing music, it would not skip.

I am thinking it must be one of the connections? but I cant figure out which one!? Help would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

  2. Update:

I used my 12 volt test light to test the remote system control wire from the wiring harness that comes with the HU..

with the HU being in "OFF" mode, the remote system control turns on the amp as soon as i have the key turned into ignition..

is it normal for this HU to do that or do I have a defective HU?

Everything else works absolutely fine, just need it to turn off amps.. I dont like to have my amps turned on all the time, thanks

  3. My mono block amplifier in my vehicle is not turning off when I have the music in "off" mode on the Headunit..

Yes I have checked all of the wirings and my remote wire is hooked up to the blue wire with white stripe on it from the harness that comes with the HU

I know that some HUs are not made to turn amps off, all they do is turn amps on when the HU is turned on.. So I am wondering if F900BT is one of them or I am having some kind of issues here?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

  4. I installed everything in my explorer..

everything went ok.. but there is one thing I noticed.. anytime i turn the car on, which means D3 will power up.. Thats perfect, but my sub amp always turns on once the D3 is powered up.. is it supposed to be like that? even when it is in "off" mode..

If it is supposed to be like that, then I guess that I m just not used since I always have headunits that would turn the amp on only when I turn it on to play music..

Also, when I paused the music, and then turned the car off.. Later when I get back in the vehicle and start it up, the music blares up without me doing anything.. I thought I left it paused.. so I gotta turn it off everytime I turn off the vehicle?

P.S. Yes, I connected the turn on lead wire to remote turn on wire on the Unit..

    help would be appreciated, thanks
