Newbie question:

 

I have a F700BT with newest firmware. I just downloaded the Teleatlas Europe Q3 2010 fbl map files and premium poi files via a link from another forum. Do i have to use a specific ezrider and license file for that or are the ezrider and license file for the 2009 maps ok?

The 2009 exrider file worked for the 2010 US maps so its worth a shot.

Is this any different than the update from CND 100 (the first buyable update for f900bt)?

I know the maps are different.

Guys i'm having a few issues and just reverted back to my CNSD100 status.

1. neither the NA nor USA DEM files would not copy, they would get to about 30 secs left then dissappear. I checked my space and flash disk has 212mb free while the largest DEM was 177mb.

2. can these maps coincide with the default maps, i.e i only remove and copy 5 states while leaving others as is?

3. are you guys copying all the maps but using select POI files?

what do i do with the canada.7z file?

Ok so you guys have the P20 installed and only get FMHD and no AMHD? That seems very strange. Do you get 2 bands of FM?

I have the f900 and in the HD Radio app, i press "Band" 3 times i think to get to AM. FM1, FM2, AM...ok i press it twice.

Can anyone tell me where to get the 3.01 update. I have checked Pioneer's site under the F90BT, F700BT and the f900BT and only see the 2.06 update. I did a search on AVIC for F90BT 3.01 update and got 53 pages. Hope someone can save me from sifting through all of them. Thanks

Is there any other sources for the updated maps? I downloaded all 16 files and got a CRC error

Enough whinning, though, is there another source of the maps, or perhaps a torrent?

 

Alternatively, can I buy upgraded maps from IGO8 or Pioneer? I saw that Pioneer has updates, but since I did the 3.0 upgrade on my F900BT, would I have to order the maps for an X910BT?

Dude i think this is the only way, I did see another post about navteq maps but i think you lose the highway signs functionality. Did you make sure the password was CAPS?

Now my question. How do I know what version I am running? I bought my 900bt about a year and a bit ago. I assume the v3 is the newest version that just came out. I take it I have to get v3 on my unit before using this awesome mod!

Yes you'll need v3. There are some hack-installs around here if you want it or you can buy it from Pioneer.

Thanks guys for the licenses, drove into work through downtown ATL this morning and it was pretty sweet seeing all the buildings out the window and on the screen as i drove by.

Does anyone have a collection of 3dc files? I dont have a .rar opener or sd slot at work but i can post the ones i have tonight after Lost. I only have the ones that were in the 2009.6 map update.

Any way you can post a zip of your license files? I'm only coming across the ones that say Generic_worldwide.

yeah i have the .3dc files. So the generic license from the 2009.6 maps doesnt work? I checked the thread from last year where you were helping me before and that had the same license in it.

the buildings i do see such as Sears Tower is very visible and lifelike but there are no other buildings such as my old office on Wacker next door to Sears.

Wow great mod!! I been away since updating to 3.0 in september and you guys made some huge progress.

 

You need a license file to go along with the building files. They wont just appear by adding them in. You also need the license. You can do the maps at any time as long as you have the hacked ezrider.exe and associated license file. In all cases remember to add the license file and never replace it.

thanks for the response, I have the license file and the hacked ezrider. The maps loaded with no problem, but i still dont have the outlined buildings just the landmarked ones. For instance i said in another thread, that chicago still only shows me a few buildings around wacker dr such as sears tower.

I originally posted in that thread. the license file in that thread is the same as the one in this thread. Ok maybe im missing something here, how many buildings should i be seeing? Im in atlanta right now and there may be about 10 buildings that show up, but i think those are the landmark buildings.

based on the these two threads it seems that it could be my sys.txt file or the color scheme.

Boris, I'm running Daftia latest mod and i updated to the 2009.6 maps so i have the generic license. But i only see landmark buildings as well. I'm running a US f900, with the Pioneer Blue scheme. I zoomed into chicago and only seen a few 3d buildings along wacker dr. I remember some time ago you posted your screens and almost the whole city had building outlines. Can you help me out?

Can someone answer this? I bought the original V3 update during the presale so i think i have the early 3.000x version on my US f900. Where is this even at on the pioneer website?

Question, does this generic license enable 3d buildings? Right now all i see are landmarks. I'm running Daftia's latest mods.
