Hey everyone,

So i have a guy who has a tuner for his dodge truck that links up with an iphone or ipad. he wants to get away from using the controller mounted to the windshield and still be able to make adjustments somewhat on the fly. I remember a few years ago when the 8000 first came out, we did a hack/mod similar to this for a guy on a WRX and he had a galaxy phone i believe. He was able to get real time readouts and adjustments on his phone and we were able to get in onscreen by using the vga cable and doing a hack. Problem is he did most of the research all on his own for this and i don't really remember exactly what all we did for it, and was wondering if there was something like that for the newer models, and worked with apple. Or even if there is something like that, that would work on an android platform that we could pick up a tablet for. Has anyone done this or attempted something to this nature, i am not sure what his tuner is.

does it HAVE to be the mute wire thats moved? or can another wire be substituted?
