i don't have a touchscreen but i read that the 21 the 40mt and the 50mt will work regardless of remote or touchscreen application. i could care less which disc i come across, i'm just looking for any disc that will allow me to use the navigation.[/

 

 

Are you SURE you don't hae the Touch Screen? I have the Same model. just sold to a friend and it is touch screen. because you don't have the disc you won't be able to do NADA. Once you get the disc you will be able to use the touch screen features of the Screen. And when you install the unit, make sure the hide away unit is no where near a vent duct.

Get the connectors for the wires. See if there is a Bezel for it and go for it. Nissans are easy. Do you have the Premium sound in it with the Volume raising according to speed? If so your good to go. The VSS wire is in the harness. 4 got the Color.

DISASTER STRIKES....SO I took my murano to get a avic d3 installed where the bose stereo is....well little did I know, when you take apart the dash...there is a circuit board that cannot be removed without loosing all AC/HEAT controls among many other things....$1300 and 2 days worth of work...i hopefully have come up with a solution. I WILL POST PICS NEXT WEEK!

Did you get this fixed? Your new bezel will allow you to retain your AC controls.

Hi guys, I was wondering if the AVIC-88DVD is always running? For example if you turn on your head unit and play music or dvd's and not using the navi option is the avic-88dvd running still? If it does, wouldn't that wear out your avic-88dvd unit? Majority of the time I won't use the navi... so if that's the case I'll make a switch to turn it on/off.

If your radio is setup just like that just measure the area and the D3 and compare. because with most nissans you can just pop off the factory bezel. You just might have to get a hold of a D1/2 trim ring or get someone to make you one. The wire harness would be the same as the max/Alt. And if you have Bose once in you'll like the diff.

Also If you want to get creative if the second screen becomes useless then buy a 7" monitor and Use that as a second DVD that way you can have your D3 show the map and the top screen show the movie. That's how I have mine in my Armada.

My neighbor has a Murano i'll take a look at hers this weekend and see.

.............the AVD W620. This for any one who has installed this model b4. I put one in a Ram PU last night and after tryung to get some glue residue off the screen, the system started acting crazy. I was unable to get into the functions, the system started to go by itself in a search mode.

Now what I THINK I did wrong was:

1 Tried to get the residue off with out turning off the screen and over commanded (if that is a proper term) and I need to reset the hideawy (just looked at the manual which I did not have last night)

2. Used the worng kind of Glue remover and it did something to the screen.

Any ideas from you proFeshaNals??

I guess, but i just feel that things can be handled in a more mature way and in most cases with a reasonable and more mature person it works. But this kid, i didnt want to yell because it was not going to get any place and i wont stoop as low as he. You know what i mean?

I'll charge you for a COMPLETE tune-up for your car but won't check/change the oil because that's seperate on the board. I'll have to charge you more.

When I get a complete tune-up that includes plugs/wires (if needed) air filter and oil change fluids etc etc.

yes but if you are getting the Z2 then you will no longer need the 6 disc because you can load your music onto the Z2.

If you have the money for Everything then shop around for the best deal including install and let them do it.

if the rest of the states would take the euopean approach like some have already by mandateing a handsfree law. It might solve this issue. I have handsfree kits in all my vehicles since '92. Yes 92 I had a HF kit for my big home phone looking motorola that weighed at least 3-5 pounds. and driving fast was never an issue. (Was in Germany for 10.5 years)

Does the Z2 have the remote mic input for the Pac Sw-PS? I have a friend that has a 05 Armada with the Z2 instaled and they said she would need the PAC SWIX. Is this true/

Yes the info screen will still work. However it will not display any of the info relating to the radio anymore.

I'm saying the screen won't work unless someone has made a kit for it it looks like a headache. I sat in a 06 and can't quite remember what made me say it would not work. I could be wrong!

If you have the info Screen you might have a prob doing it. Get a pic and put it on here. Then some oone can give you a better answer.
