1. I have 4 monitors in my armada and Have 3 AND the DVD player going to the Fuse box via a dual in-line fuse holder. My Q? is should i use a the proper Fuse AMP for the slot (10) and use a lower for the other or go higher. When Connected it's causing a Batt drain. My other opt is to connect them to a switch and turn it off when I get it out. Thanks in advance

  2.
Well, tsiawd666 was right. The echo is still there and I'm back at square one. The only way to try and work with the system is to turn the volume down where it's really not useable. I have a fairly quiet '04 Suburban and it just doesn't work. I'm going to call back to Pioneer tomorrow and follow up with the case # to complain. I would encourage everyone else that is not satisfied with the results of the bluetooth product to call and complain. Other companies are able to provide a product without the echo so Pioneer needs to improve the processing of the system to ignore the signal it just output.

Thanks to all for the input.

Where is your mic located? Can you place it right in front of you behind the steering wheel. Here's a pic of mine. Phone vol low. Plus I just recv the Nokia E62 and so far it sounds better than my Razr. No hissing air noise. Just clean.

  3.
Unfortunately you're going to have to wait for technology to catch up with the times. your cedes uses a sound system called MOST. Its fiber optic. Basically the only copper in your sound system is the power, groun, and the wire running to each speaker. Other than that every component is connected in a loop. Fiberoptic in, fiberoptic out. No dice. I just installed a nav-tv ipod interface in one the other day...
Thanks. I'l let him know.

  4.
Now, that looks like a realy useful interface...

I didn't even look at the wife's D2 video harness so I don't know about the external video connectors BUT on the Z1, this might just be a really useful addition (and throw away the existing CD-IB100)
B4 you order go to Walmart (or something like that depending on where your from) They carry this and others. Never paid much aatention to it but seen this all the time. Might be cheaper or save you on the shipping.

Y? When you are talking to someone tell them to help you out.Turn the phone volume down and adjust the Volume on the HU. Start from 3 turn it up 'till the other party says it's free of echo. Mine is normally phone on 3 HU on 9-11 depends on other parties phone. Also Mic placement is a key factor. Mine is located directly in front of me Behind the Steering wheel.

I'll post a pic this weekend.

    Good luck!!
oops I've been so busy i've completely 4got.
I'll take my cam to work take the pic then post when I come home!!!

I gues they don't know it will fit Nissans.

I took a look because a friend has the Maxima and wants to get rid of his radio. He has the Info screen on top. Any one know if there is a aft mkt bezel for the MAX.

  7. Thanks I'll look into that. Well I did the change around and I nominate myself for the DAISY award (Dumb A$$ InStaller of the Year) I went back and looked at the harness I connected and realized that there were only 12 pins. So I looked thru and saw a harness tucked away at the bottom and sure enough there it was. Attached reconnected and programed. I swear the program part was so Dang easy. I have a small tiny delay on the Vol. But that's good for me. I programed Vol +/- Mute Source and preset +/-. Thanks for the help.

  8. Sweet. I'm going to take my original bezel fiberglass the opening and then recut it. I'm going to do my own carbon fiber dash cover.

BTW I have to try the PAC Audio programing again. I have to start by regrounding the system. Then check for connections. I made new connections for the resistors so I'll re do that just in case I did some thing wrong with them.

    Again Nice install.

Do you belong to the Clubtitan.com forum?
  9. I did the connection like I was suppose to according to Spinners help. But it's not programming right. I'm to hold the program button until the light is steady then I have 7sec to hold the Vol up until it goes out then I'm to let the button go and the light will come back on. Well it's not. I tried and I tried and it's not working. Had to stop to go out with the Family. Now I did hook up the ground (blue wire) to one of my grounds from the system. Could that be a Problem or should I start from scratch? Also I'm not sure if I damaged one of the resistors with the heat shrink. I'm pushing towards that being a problem.

I did pull the harness out of the Pac box and my radio system started to scan by itself. I had to turn off the D1 to make it stop. Is the D1 suppose to be off during the programing? I'm stumped like a Chump.

    Help me out!!!! :(

  11. Ok here's the deal I just recv'd it and I only have to follow Note #8. Here's the Note.....................

Plug is located on AV Switch panel. The AV Switch panel is the radio control panel. Connect a 150 ohm resistor to vehicle's pin 13 wire. Connect a 47 ohm resistor to vehicle's pin 12 wire. Connect remaining ends of resistor to the INTERFACE's white wire. Connect vehicle's pin 14 wire to chassis ground.

Plug is located on AV Switch panel.
The AV Switch panel is the radio control panel. > OK

Connect a 150 ohm resistor to vehicle's pin 13 wire. Which one is the 150?

Connect a 47 ohm resistor to vehicle's pin 12 wire. Which one is the 47?

Connect remaining ends of resistor to the INTERFACE's white wire. How do I do this? Sorry but Do I splice and solder each one to the white wire b4 I install?

Connect vehicle's pin 14 wire to chassis ground. Do i just connect the ground from the harness to this pin?

Any info would be helpfull thanks. Plan on doing this 1st thing in the AM? The last of my installs.

  14.
Its not recommended--but, Pioneers CDBTB100 will hook-up to anything P-bus. The interface is bad so I wouldn't bother if I were you
I've been looking around and I'm assuming that AVIC d2 is not blue tooth compatible am I right?

If you don't mind having the basic handsfree features w/o the bonus' of phonebook entries then it's not bad.

Pros: It works! You can do voice dial, redial last 3 in/out coming. even though you don't see the entire number all the time you can get full redial.

Cons: I have yet found a Motorolla to AUTO connect after turning it on. Nokia will Sony Ericsson will and LQ (Except the Choc). once the conversation is over you have to go back to whatever source you were listening to.

As long I can make and recv calls I'm not stressing. Now if they can make a better harness for the Motorolla HF1000 for my Armada then I will sell the BT module and get the HF1000. It talks to you holds numbers and all that. but the harness they tried out would not work.

But overall with the exception I have to MANUALLY connect I'm cool with it.

You must of disconnected the Air bag sensor when doing the install.
    K
Yea, I probably did disconnect something with the airbag sensor because I pulled out a bunch of plugs from the ECM and other places trying to find the VSS wire and reverse signal (found them eventually). So what you're saying though.. is that the light is on probably because I took out the plug and put it back in and it has nothing to do with a malfunction or anything in the airbags (the car didn't move at all from start to finish of the installation)?
Correct. Just use the reset directions you obtained and like Taco Bell

    U'r Good 2 GO!!!
