  1. I noticed something with Windows 7! If you right-click on a iso image file, you can select "Burn disc image". This is how I made mine, just be sure to select the "Verify disc after burning" box. No fancy DVD software required! I use Memorex DVD+R DL, btw. Perfect!

Yep new feature with Windows 7 however I wouldn't necessarily say ImgBurn is "fancy"... :D

  2. I just finished burning my copy, I also used ImageBurn at 2X with Best Buy Verbatim disks (20 pack was about $31).

Took my old disk out but this one in, the unit updated and then everything seemed to be working fine. I'll try a drive tomorrow sometime.

    I'm seeding as well...

    Thanks,

LOL. I suppose no chance we can get the full color lablels loaded up too. :D I feel like I am asking to much but thanks SWDW, my first torrent and I am off in a few mins to buy dual layer DVD disks.

    I am seeding as well...

  4. Although I have not tried it, you should be able to go from 50 to 90 without any difficulties. The map data is on the disc itself and we are not getting any new firmware features so it should be just fine.

For the newsgroup fans I have completed the East disc and the West disc is currently downloading. Attached is the nzb file to help get all the parts you need. (I could not upload the nzb file directly so it is zipped. Just unzip and put into your favorite newsreader) Have fun and remember to burn the disc slowly for best results.

Might need to give some instructions, I have no idea what to do with this? I downloaded GrabIt and can see your rar files but it also says "Unable to Connect". Meanwhile uTorrent still downloads.

    Thanks!

  5. HERE ARE THE LINKS TO THE EAST AND WEST ISO ....DIRECT 1 TO 1 FILE COPYS WITH MD5 AND UDF TURN ON EVERYTHING CHECK AND MATCHES TO THE BYTE.. THIS IS ALL I CAN DO!!!

I left out of work and am sitting in a park trying to get these started by logging into my home machine using uTorrent. I get an error message that they are invalid torrent files? I'm new to this, any suggestions? Are they still up?

  7. I got my Avic D3 installed about a month ago and so far so good. Its in a 2001 Infiniti QX4. I have linked a photo below.

I do however have a question not directly related to the Install. I had a brand new pair of Alpine Type-R SPR-17LS 6-1/2" 2-way Component Speakers I had in the garage forever. I installed one of them today and to my surprise it has less base than the factory Bose speaker I removed. I didn't install the crossover that comes with the speaker, at one time these were $250 speakers so...

    Question is:

    1. Do the Alpine speakers simply need to break in otherwise I might as well reinstall my factory Bose? I am not getting much mid base and am certain the polarity is right because I checked it?

    2. Would the crossover make a difference?

Here is the install, it was done professionally, I started to do it but there are NO double din kits available for the Qx4 (or Pathfinder). The kit was fabricated and although it looks to be reflecting the camera flash more than the dull black around it it looks better in real life.

  8. Do like HiFiSi suggested and write your password in your owners manual in case you forget again.

Even better.... email the password to yourself with subject of Avic D3, at the very least you only have to search for those keywords or email sent from your own address. I'll likely loose my book. :(
