  1. Ok I am trying to resurrect this thread. I have a friend from Japan and I had them buy and send me the Bluetribe SBT05 which is bluetooth v2.1 and provides the radio with CRYSTAL CLEAR high bitrate sound. Sounds just as good as an ipod cable, I promise.

I paid $65 to get it here, plugged it in, and realized that I failed to read this whole thread and notice that no matter what, the radio won't display the song info or let you control the iphone...

So someone has got to know how to get this to work. If the device can plug into regular devices and provide AVRCP A2DP etc...i.e. music info and controls, then why can't the Avic F do it.

I understand that the device never supported it originally, but pioneer never intended for modified firmwares and files to be run on the radio.

So it would seem like theres gotta be someone out there that can figure out how to make the radio accept the bluetribe (2.1) or anycom fipo (2.0) and the data that the devices are capable of outputting via the ipod dock cable.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! I know I'm the idiot that bought it before reading the 3rd page, but I don't want to have to buy a new radio just to get my music wirelessly from my iphone with the ability to see what im listening to and control it.

  2. Hey all, I just finished installing my F700 and back up camera in my 08 mustang and I have a few questions/problems. Just for your info, I have updated to the latest firmware.

First, I followed the process for the bypass and while driving, the unit says parking brake wire error or whatever. Basically saying that I don't have the parking brake on. I grounded the wire to the same ground that the radio goes to on the harness and I am thinking that might be the issue.

Second, how the HELL do you get the voice crap to work? I have no idea how to tell the system to play whatever song. Do I hit a button then say something? I don't get it.

Lastly, whenever I boot the system the ipod tries to reupdate the VR dictionary. Will this happen every single time unless I turn it to off? It takes like 10 friggen minutes and if I leave the ipod menu it fails.

Please help me and my stupid radio...

  3. Can the 900 actually tell you your G's while driving? I was looking at getting the 700 but I do not want to miss out on any cool features like a g meter but I think I can do without the MSN and DVD.

Basically what I am asking is whether or not the extra 250 or so is worth it for the 900 if I don't really care bout the MSN (I have an iPhone 3g), and the DVD is not important either, (I have an iPod w/ video). If it has a G meter while driving that would be cool but would that be worth $250...
