  1. After setting all my presets, when you press the preset button (on screen) you get a list of 1 thru 6 of your presets. I guess the idea is that you can pull up the list of your presets and select the one you want. The screen shows 6 blank bars. I you press the bar, it will go to that preset but it doesn't show what the presets are. I can remember what most of them are for FM but my Sirius has so many presets it would be nice to save them and browse thru them. Follow?

  2. I have the same problem. My new 110 seemed to work OK when I first installed it. Now it's too the point no one can hear me. I have to scream to be heard on their end. This is the 4th Nav unit I've had in my truck in the last two years, JVC, Kenwood, and a F900. I work from my truck and bluetooth is a must along with Nav. I wish someone could make a product that works. I might have to switch back to my Kenwood. It's a shame, I like so much about the 110, but it missed on a few major pionts. I also sell and install these products. Hard to sell when my customers can't hear me on the phone. I bought this unit from Pioneer for $400 as a promo deal. Seems to be only be worth that. Frustrating!!

  4. I have a customer that just purchased the F700BT. After installation and pairing his phone, (Samsung i760) he is having problems with the bluetooth functions. The phone will connect but will only have audio through the phone's ear piece. I paired my phone and it works fine. So it's not a problem with the head unit. The F-series has the latest software update and the phone has all the current software. Pioneer says it should work and they have heard of no problems with this phone. His phone also works fine with other BT devices. Any help with this would be great!

  5. I don't have the info in front of me but there are two ways to hook up iPod.

The USB iPod cable and JVC offers an iPod adapter. I bought the adapter from my distributor not realizing the USB would work. My JVC would not read any of my playlist nor search for songs on my iPod nano. I was informed about the USB and pow it worked. The adapter works for different generations of the iPod, I'm guessing the newest. And I belive the adapter has next to no delay. Even the delay on the USB is not that bad. I'm not displaying the art work and it plays song to song perfectly. The only delay is when searching. The same when I play a MP3 Disc, it only takes a couple seconds to load.

    KSPD100 Ipod Adapter.

And on the HD subject, if you think your get HD quality your not. You may pick up the channel and listen to the HD2 channel but it's not in HD. I went around and around trying to find out why the broadcast would reduce quality a few seconds after changing stations. I also get a delay in the broadcast. They say you need a splitter, I tried an antenna Y splitter, which you do need for HD and the traffic updates. But on page 94 of the owners manual it list the part number for the splitter. KS-U21.After calling JVC I found out it's not just a splitter, they (she) couldn't tell me much more other than it's got a module inline. My JVC reps didn't even know about it. The sad part is that the part hasn't be released yet. They say some time this month.

After I turn on my unit or change a station or make a phone call it flips to auto mode and goes almost MONO. Flipping to analog and it sounds way better. But its NOT HD just stereo. Pretty bummed, I'll just have to wait.

  6. I installed the NX7000 in my 08 Dodge 2500 a couple weeks ago. I love it! I also install Pioneer and Kenwood, for the money the JVC rocks. Just like any other unit, it's got it's quirks but the Nav is great.

I was waiting for the F900bt, ordered two, installed one for a customer, the other one was for myself. My customer requested that I take it back out. He hated it. I returned the other and got the first JVC off the truck. I'm glad I got to see the F900 before I installed it in my truck. I've only installed one other F900 since then... with the new update! (I was out of Kenwood 5120's) I won't sell another until they improve them.

Any questions about the JVC, let me know.

  7. Installers are people, some good, some bad. I've seen shops get busted for one bad seed. Fire the bad seed and move on. I think most installers do it for the love of the work, but I've fired guys for stealing from me. 18 years installing, I've seen a lot of installers come and go. If a thief finds a great spot to stake out, you'll get busted into over and over. The movies, malls, boat docks and restaurants. They see you park and walk in.... they know your not coming out for at least 30-60 min. It can take a good thief 3 to 4 min to rip out your plastic mounted $1200 Nav. Get a 2way paging alarm, and cover up your valuables. If they don't see it they are less likely to smash a window. A bright flashing light and nothing to see....move to the next car. A bright flashing light and a expensive DVD.... smash and grab. Even with a 2way pager, by the time you run out of the movies to see if it's just a false alarm (and you probably wont if its a good movie) they'll be long gone. Boat dock..truck with an empty trailer? Your goodies are as good as gone.

It's sad we can't have anything nice these days.

Think of where you park, up front, near the entrances, and hide your sh*t!

And oh ya, I can hook you up with a good alarm, Roseville, CA. Licensed and insured.

  8. The problem is that the installer or whomever hooked up your back-up camera used the reverse power that switches the nav to view the back-up camera, for the power source of the camera. When you put the vehicle in reverse, the camera has power. When you change map view to rear view the camera has no power because your not in reverse. hook the camera power up to acc 12v. I've had to rewire a few that were hooked up that way. You might think that it is not good for the camera to have power whenever the key is on, but I've had no come backs for camera failures for that reason.
