  1. Why are you stating the same thing over for the last couple posts when I have already told him that?
  2. yup. The Z2 is actually listed on the pioneer website now, so it shouldn't be more than 1 more month, as the D3 came out after 1 month of being displayed on the website.
  3. Yup, your assumption is wrong. That would be a nice feature but it doesnt do that. It just leaves the LCD screen exposed, so be careful of thieves. Good thing you have that radio cover though. From the looks of it, your Tcover should be able to work as needed.
  4. Umm not quite sure what you are talking about. The Z1 screen doesnt flip out. It is a double din unit. Are you talking about the N series? The only time the screen moves is if you hit the eject button to lower the screen to expose the dvd rom.
  5. Would some pictures of it doing that suffice? I can send you some pictures if you want. Ill take about 3 of them in the process and send it to you. Whats your email address?
  6. there are a couple cables on ebay that do jsut that, convert your video ipod connection to RCA cables. It also has a handy charger. Runs about 5 bucks without shipping included. I have the cables. Works great.
  7. yes, go to youtube.com and search to avic Z1. There are a couple videos showing it do that. Or look at the Cnet review video.
  8. No there isnt an after market cd changer that will work with pioneers stuff, and by that I mean that you wont be able to directly control it via the head unit. You could hook up any cd changer via RCA cables and use the aftermarket head unit to change it that way. The only thing I don't like about pioneers cd changers is their inability to play mp3s. They haev a dvd/cd changer that plays mp3s, but thats listed at 650 dollars!!!!!
  9. Yeah, if you definitely want the HD support, you should really get the AVOX jukebox thing. I am pretty sure he told you that, as he has convinced a lot of people to get that thing... including myself. 300th post!!
  10. seems like they just changed Z1 to Z2. if i were to run a diff on the text files, thats what i would get as the difference.
  11. looks to me like they just changed the words Z1 to Z2 for the description.
  12. yeah all units have that same dimension for back grounds. Any program can reize your pics for you, even a simple one like MS paint.
  13. well crutchfield was charging 2250 for the Z1. I bought it from parks ave. electronics for 3015 for both units. Neither of which have failed. I figured the almost 1485 dollars in savings was worth having to pay pioneer to fix anything if something went wrong, which usually only costs about 200 to get fixed. The 1 year warranty also does not cover shipping of the unit to their factor. You have to pay out of your own pocket if you want them to see whats wrong with it.
  14. are you getting one from pioneer or an aftermarket company?
  15. hey jay, you are going to go with the D3 now? Definitely not a bad choice.
  16. could you shrink your signature picture? It takes up the entire screen!
  17. hahaha good one. See, I am not the only smart ass here.
  18. your links dont seem to be working. Would you reduce the price if you have to ship it to california?
  19. have you checked your other fuses for the car? I use the internal amp on the zvic z1, so I am not so sure about external amps. My car has a radio fuse and interior fuse. Try checking your radio fuse if you have one.
  20. The only time my CEL came on was when I shorted something in my MAF (mass air flow) sensor. Then it started to shift funny, and die out on me on low idle rpms. As for not connecting your reverse wire, it is ok if you do not want a back up camera. If you have back up camera, and correctly connected the wire, your back up camera will display automatically on the screen once you shift your car into reverse.
  21. Yeah... I tried to do it without the harness. Really stupid back then. Everyone starts off as a newbie!
  22. thats a pretty good width.
