  1. once you have the HD tuner plugged in, the only way to get to AM is by the band button when HD tuner is selected as the source. Not trying to be a d*@K but been installing for 15 years so I understand how it all works, but thanks for the honest feedback Trust me i know how DUMB people can be when it comes to this stuff. I was just wondering if anyone else was having this issue before i get a replacement tuner. its just weird when i plug the antenna in directly to the Z it works fine but once i plug in the HD tuner AM is gone

  2. iPhone 3gs with 3.1 work flawless , have never had any issues with 3gs iPhone on unit as far as bluetooth phone call, never use it for bluetooth streaming or charging, have regular iPod for music that stays plugged in inside glovebox

Also you should always delete or at least re-pair phone when you do a software update

  3. that would be cool for people who use it for streaming, but i read the details for the download and i didnt see anything about bluetooth, might have just missed it though. haven't got in car yet since 3.1 update. i do know that you could always play/pause with 3.0 but no track changing

  4. as far as using the bluetooth for making phone calls I have a 3gs and it works flawless, I dont use the bluetooth audio portion,(use regular iPod for music) I never liked the quality of the audio no matter what radio or device, the easiest way to delete the phone from the radio is to do method 2 ,which is the "restore to factory settings" button in the "settings" menu. this will erase some other settings but will also erase paired phones. i'm running 3.01 software on iPhone and it works fine, my only gripe is that u gotta goto the NAV screen and hit the OK button before the voice dial will work, I just updated to 3.1 but have not tried it yet with that. Apple did not list any bluetooth updates with 3.1 so it should still work the same. Also used the pair from phone option on the Z

  5. you can add a switch to the rev. wire to trigger it into thinking you are in reverse, you will need to add a diode to the wire so that when you flip the switch while your driving your reverse lights don't come on

it will still work when you put car in reverse like normal but if you are driving you can just flip the toggle switch

(wired to 12v) and the unit will switch to the camera input, but you must put diode in line with vehicle reverse wire,

  6. I know how the radio works so i tried that but the system is made to recognize any new contacts and add them every time it re-syncs with phone. was just trying to find someone who might have had the same issue and knew how to maybe remove them from phone or something else more permanent

    thanks though

  7. I wish when you pushed the alphabet buttons along the top of the contac list it would skip to the the first contact with that letter not just the first letter listed on that button, so if you pushed the button with A,B,C,D,E it would go to A first, then if you pushed it again got to the first B contact then C and so on, ( like when you used to have to text on a cell phone before they have keyboards) I have alot of contacts so it still kinda sucks to have to scroll down the get from A to E, and so on

hope they make a software change for that on a future upgrade

  8. Im using a Z110bt and when my 3gs syncs contacts with the nav the first 5 numbers it syncs are the 5 AT&T information numbers that are embedded in the phone under : settings-phone-att services. Im talking about the - check bill balance *225#,directory assistance 411, pay my bill *729,view my minutes *646#,and voice connect *08.

each one shows up as a long list of numbers in the list of contacts, i wouldn't mind them as much but they are the first contacts listed so they always show on the first page

Anyone else with a iPhone got this issue??

  9. Sounds like you also have steering wheel controls, the SWI piece needs to be reprogrammed, or has an issue with the connection to the steering wheel signal wire. What kind of car is it in? would definitely take back to installer. I am an installer and have had this issue before. not a big deal but installer should take care of it

  10. make it easy on yourself get 1 relay and wire it this way- NO SWITCH NEEDED!

    85 ground

86 blue/white remote turn-on,(if using amps branch off blue/white for them)

    30 ground

    87 green parking break wire

  11. never seen a car without ACC, I have a Infiniti G35 A/T with a pushbutton start also and i just hit the button once to get ACC, then twice for ON/IGN. the BTB200 has the power plug with ground(black) and Constant(yellow), the yellow need to be hooked to constant for "memory" on the unit. the unit is actually turned on/off by the radio's p-bus connection. if you hook the yellow to ACC or IGN you will loose all your settings every time you turn off key.

CONSTANT wire is--On vehicles with push-button start, this wire is red/blue at the relay block, 6 pin plug, pin E. The relay block is under the driver dash, around the steering column.

ACC wire is--On vehicles with push-button start, this wire is pink/yellow at the relay block, 6 pin plug, pin F. The relay block is under the driver dash, around the steering column.

IGNITION wire is--On vehicles with push-button start, this wire is pink/blue (+) at the relay block, 6 pin plug, pin B. The relay block is under the driver dash, around the steering column.

  12. the relay is easy to wire,

    85 goes to ground

86 goes to remote turn-on/from #30 on relay from below

    30 goes to ground

87 goes to the green wire on the pioneer harness

as far as hooking up to much to the remote turn on wire, that just depends on what you are hooking up to it and what kinda of current draw they have. you can add a relay to the actual remote turn-on wire and then you souldn't have any problems with using it to trigger things. most relays are 30amp. if you wanna add a relay to the remote turn-on to bump up its capacity here's how, if you do this then when you do the bypass the use terminal 30 from this setup below to go to 86 on the relay from above info

    85 goes to ground

    86 to remote turn-on

30 will be your new remote turn-on output connection\also goes to #86 for bypass relay above

87 gets a solid constant or ignition source that will actually be feeding the parts to are trying to trigger with the remote turn-on
