Bought the unit together with my passat CC in april. Knew about the coming update so asked my dealer to provide me with the latest software in July.

Last week I was called by a Pioneer rep who wanted my address to send me the SD with the latest software.

It should be sent this week so I''ll keep you posted.

If nothing arrives this week I'll try to find out if it is actually delayed.

 

Received the update and installed it.

First impression:

- startup takes about 50secs now, so pretty pissed off

- the information screen (speed, distance, time to destination) only has 2 lines left instead of 3

- respons on touchscreen is much better

- Now 3D, 2D and 2DNorth display

- traffic signs in Navigation is nice improvement

 

Sorry for the poor quality pics but took 'm while driving with my BlackBerry.

As I'm a noob with hacking and modding I can't tell you what still works and what doesn't.

I see you live in the Netherlands. Is there possibility the upload the SD card somewhere. Or when this a serial connected or something (i dont think so) maybe you can give us an adress where we can get this update. What is the price you paid for this update?

I think I solved the problem with TMC. I made a change in Start.ui in Common:

 

was: runif vBeta "1" ''

Changed to: runif vBeta "1" 'btnAMM_TMS.show, sprAMM_TMS.show'

 

Now I get the Traffic button and can enter TMC setup.

 

I don't know if this is the right way to fix the problem, could you please confirm.

Perfect! I like this mod very much! But i cannot get this (extra comment) to work in my data.zip. MAybe a other sys.txt? Is it possible for you to send my your data.zip and sys.txt?

So its possible for me to get TMC also!

- Igo 8.3 navigation and updates. It is the standard Igo product, not a version that customized. As Pioneeer does.

- Very nice, user-friendly user interface.

- All media options, Ipod, DVD, bluetooth carkit, etc.

- A very nice advice price of 1099 euro

- Updates of maps material wil be offered via the official IGo site in the future:

www.naviextras.com. This is very good selling point.

They offer this also on other products.

Thanks for your response, but no, there is no topic on JVC NX7000 mods. It very disappointing.

Because the potential for this unit is much bigger than for the Pioneer, i think.

It is based on Windows Automative (WINCE 5.0). I don't know if the Pioneer is also based on this? Does someone know?

Maybe Leetlauncher software is possible? But i don't want to take a risk with trying..

Does someone now if Leetlauncher 3.0 or testmode is possible on an JVC NX7000? Is trying this without risk?

Coulde somebody please help. The unit operating system is Windows Automative 5.0 (i think this is WINCE 5.0?)

I recently had to change from my Pioneer F900bt to a JVC NX7000 (lease car, etc.).

I was very satisfied with the Pioneer due to the fact there was a lot of customizing possible, maps, etc.

The JVC in potential offers a lot more with a 7 inch screen and detachable panel and faster system software.

But JVC is very slow with updates on system and maps.

At first updating the map software would be my first goal. The card material from Europe is from 2007!!!

Maverick, i am very happy with your mods.

The only thing i am missing is the speecam mod. I tried to integrate this with your data.zip but in someone way i cannot get this to work.

I followed the instruction from boris and i used his files in the post.

Is there a possibility that you integrate them and post a new data.zip file?

But can you please post your sys.txt and tell me which fonts files your using. Because when i see the screens i have another screen view.

I thinks it is because i use the font files from the hack from kevin.

Do you use everything originally. So the original sys.txt and the original font files from Pioneer or others?

No it's not for the launcer. I installed it three weeks ago.

The latest maps only work with Igo version 8.3. But the 2008.4 work with Igo 8 on our Avic.

Good luck with copying the maps onto the unit.. It takes a while..

The latest mapudates for igo8 (2008.4) are already possible on the AVIC.

They have cracked the license file. So you can install the latest map updates.

Search on this forum for more info.

Why you do you need some else phone book. You can create mutiple of your one..with a lot of phone numbers.

I have been able to add boris's mods and I will post my data zip in a bit. I am working on a cool housing number display and I want to iron that out first so I only have to post once.

 

And I have got kind of sick of my truck so I changed it back to the arrow until I decide what I want to do with it, so that should make most of you happy.

Other than your 3D car icon settings being on a (very) small size, SYS.TXt looks good. I think it is a conflict somewhere in the scripts... Which mods are you trying to implement on your system? (I believe things like Speed Cameras you get from the factory anyway so you don't need that)...

In the lava.zip are different hacks:

- five button on the screen

- mute button

- compass button

- stop navigation button

- other layout of the screen

- other fonts

But when i use the original european data.zip with your mods the error message is still the same. I have no clue.
