I've done a generic theme, changed:

- The CIVIC bottom logo to the pionner logo;

- The main menu Nav Logo with the iGo logo;

this looks great compared to pioneer! too bad the car its in is not a newer civic =P i do own a 97 civic but the nav is in my 01 crv! Only been using it for about 2 months now. thanks guga for this! now i know where it gets its interface from. You have done a great job i plan to build mine up from yours (hope thats cool =P)... at least for my first one..

Hey guga, Definately looks awesome but i would like the entire theme to flow throughout the system. Some of those buttons need to be changed from the data zip also so they are seen in the rest of the systems menu's. That would make it complete. Can u possibly change the buttons also i've included in the zip? Thanks, these are from the 800_480 folder in the data.zip.

After the 3.0 update I think we really deserve a new theme!

Here's the download link, just unzip and copy the image.res file to the apl directory

about the BR maps: actually I've already downloaded a map for the iGo, but I have no idea how to proceed.... of course once I have the unit in my hands that should be a little easier, since I'm just imagining things....

 

Let's wait for Guga to tell me about the maps... he has it installed so he should know better what to do...

Hi Japinha,

You need to copy the hacked ezrider.exe and the worldwide license to your igo directory....there's a bunch of topics here explaning how to do it, just make sure you use the correct hack. I'm running version 2.0 so I use this hack http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... zrider+exe .

Make sure you have the correct map version (igo 8.0).

Backup all you files before doing any mods.

1. Would you direct me to install instructions? I have already updated mine with CMH's files though am open to removing and replacing with yours. The things I liked about his are: redlight camera info, SW disable of park brake limitation.

They are different mods, you don't need to remove CMH's sttuf. Just download mine and copy it to the unit via testmode, easy as that

2. Will it work, assuming it will be better to be ask and safe than sorry, on AVIC-F-700BT? Live in U.S.

Hi guys,

I bought a Blackberry 8350i and I'm having problems when trying to use PTT (push to talk) with a F-90BT.

When using the phone it works fine but with PTT there's no sound and the music won't mute.

I tested with a i9 and other motorola phones and it works perfect.

Anyone facing the same issue?

Great mod, and I am really enjoying it.

 

However, I see that some screens in Navigation still shows back arrow instead of the new back button. Seems inconsistent. Any solution for this?

 

I also see a few more files ending with .ufo extension than the original. Are these files necessary?

Hi there,

The navi sotware uses the data.zip file to display icons and stuff not image.res that's why you're getting different icons in the iGo.

Since not everyone uses the stock data.zip, including me, you have to change the one you're using and insert the icons you want there.

I left the UFO files on purpose in my image.res. They are Ulead Photoimpact files, so if anyone wants to change the main icons it's a lot easier.

Ok so i've made my pics, not exactly picasso but hey it's my first ever attempt lol, however how do I put them in the image.res file?

 

I've extracted the image.res to the desktop and have copied the 2 files (using orignal names) over into the Common directory and overwritten the 2 files in there (normal and push). However when I rezipped it using Winrar the final image.res file is much larger than the original by about a meg. What settings should I use for zipping it back up, and is winrar ok to do that?

Use 7zip to zip it back (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)

Make sure you zip the image directory not the sub directories.....

Zip as .7zp file and then just rename it to .res

Thats what i meant. superman's theme ='s red modified version of basketcase's apple theme.

 

I'll have to try it later, see how it looks in person. Maybe get some ideas or use parts on my theme.

Looks good. What all is new? Besides the settings menu, looks like the rest of the images are from supermans theme.

The only icons that was copied from another theme are some AV from Apple Theme by BasketCase, all other icons were created from scratch....If there's another theme with these icons in the forum I'm pretty sure it's a copy of my first version.

OK... Thanks very much for this awesome, easy upgrade. I loaded it on to my unit and I was driving down the road the other day and my truck just paused my Ipod and started barking at me. While I was laughing the unit was not responsive. Has this happened to anyone else? It hasn't happened since then. Also, almost every speed/redlight camera is wrong. Is this common? There aren't even any speed cameras in this part of FL.

there are a few "speed cams" around here that show up that either don't exist or are not speed cams, A few of the ones that don't exist have the poles up and wires coming out the top, but no cams there yet (or have been there for years) and the ones that are not speed cams around here are the NC DOT hiways cams that the DOT (dep. of trans) use to watch the traffic for wrecks and traffic jams, and to also help the NCHP during a hi speed chase. then a few others they use on some bridges to track the ammount of traffi, BUt other then that they we dont have ANY speed cams that actually catch you speeding here, so i just turned off the cam alert unless I'm going on a trip.

You are mixing things up....my mod doesn't have anything to do with the IGO software like barking dogs, speedcams and other stuff.... You probalbly changed the stock data.zip file and THIS is the one doing all this stuff to your unit.
