I got it...

 

This time I re-wrote all 4 partitions, instead of just the 2, defraged all 4 partitions before install and its perfect. I didnt even get the install progress bar thingy at first start up.

I used Acronis to rewite the 2 images I needed/had to. My drive has already been unlocked from the 2008(??) map update. That partition is still defragmenting. Windows gave up on it because it has only 7% free space left and windows wants 15% free space. I have Diskeeper 2010 playing with it roght now, and as of right now its only at 34% completed. If this dosent work and I get that error message again ill make a small video for you, you seem to have your hands in about everything on here...

Maybe a defrag would help??

 

 

After doing the 2010 map update im getting this error message at EVERY STARTUP! If I make any adjustments, for example: key beep turned down, they will all reset back to the factory settings. After looking threw the forum no one else has gotten this message???

Only takes, what...15 minutes to reimage? And if you REALLY don't want to for some reason, you can just use acronis to extract those specific files.

narrowed it down to a corrupt folder, not sure what partition its is because i lost the damn partition names, the partition contains: BACKUP, OLD_BACKUP, OLD_RW, OLD_SETUP, RW, SETUP, SRAM, SYSTEM.

The corrupt folder is: BACKUP, its 24k in size, can someone put it on here so i dont have to re-image this a 3rd time please?

 

EDIT: i cannot even delete the damn thing, any chance somehow someway someone could send me the entire folder? (2Mb) I guess ill have to format that partition and copy it on there

getting this after upgrade...

after doing the Z3 upgrade i lost the disk partition names, LDATA, SDATA, MSV and USER... they were all renamed to TFAT. can anyone tell me what they are?

So $50 (unlock) + $10 (cable) = $60 for a boot up screen change? Yeah i know i could prolly change more images also...
Once i pay that $50 unlock fee can I keep using it, or will i have to pay that everytime i connect the Z1Hdd to the PCHdd ??

I saw a couple of posts from certian people saying theyve hacked theyre start up screen and vote that they post a "How To" immediately which includes links and maybe pictures...

yeah its legit, is my all my stuff, cd and computer, yeah i should call them but at the same time i shouldnt have a problem re-installing software thats already mine..

I had to replace the hard drive in my compaq laptop. The one i got was cleaned/erased and used off eBay. I have the WinXP cd for it but i cant read the 5X5 code anymore. I have it installed and running but i keep getting the pop-up for activation. Im pretty sure i entered the 5X5 code wrong because its so hard to read... Ive looked threw all the .TXT files as well as did a search for a file containing: ?????-?????-?????-?????-?????. (([i]its ?'s NOT *'s right?[/i])) Well no luck.. im thinking that the serial number is got to be on ths disk somewhere, right? Also it says that if i call CustServcRep to give them this number... 1 long string...

what about the display? you guys are talking about the 3 dementions, X-Y-Z. I understand what your saying about that, but i noticed that as the 3D builds more stuff is showing up. For example, on a road that has grass on the side of it, grass is shown on the drivers view of the map as well as restarants which looks like an old 50's diner.....
